Check out Armon Eastman looking the perfect amount of retro in these behind the scenes pics from the new Dita Eyewear campaign. I browsed through their current collection, and there are quite a few pairs of sunglasses that I "need" ASAP. Judging from Armon's instagram, he had a great time at the Hollywood shoot, and judging from what we are seeing this campaign is going to be killer. Congrats Armon, you wear Dita well, and we can't wait to see the final images!

DOLLS MODEL MGMT Test Shoot: How We Get A Model Started
Have you ever wondered how we get our models started? They don't just appear in the pages of Vogue out of nowhere, do they? Once a model is scouted or submits photos to us, we set up an online meeting with them, and Pulse Mgmt President, Stacey Eastman. Stacey has a video call with the model and usually one or both of his/her parents and we see if the model is what we are looking for, and the model does the same and can decide if we are the type of management he/she wants. If both parties think we are a good fit, we set up a test shoot for the model in the Hollywood Hills with our sister company, Dolls Model Management.
At the photo shoot the model has assistance selecting wardrobe, and get his/her hair and make up done by one of the industry's finest artists. Dolls Model Management only uses photographers/hair and makeup artists that we know and respect within the fashion industry because we want to make sure the test shoot has the potential for the best outcome possible. The model is photographed in a couple of different looks, and is also captured in an HD video reel, which serves almost like a commercial for the model so we can show potential agencies and clients a little bit of their personalities and they can see the model's movement.
We also have a current or former model on hand to give a basic lesson on photo movement and on runway walking. We then take digital polaroids of each model and Stacey and Shayna Eastman are present to answer any additional questions the models or their parents may have. The test shoot is so we can see how well you photograph, which for a model is crucial.
This video was taken at our test shoot a couple of months ago. The main purpose of it is to show potential models what occurs at our test shoots, and to hopefully answer some questions and ease some anxieties about what to expect.

Rachel Cook for MAC
Yesterday we shared with you Rachel Cook's photos from Vogue Japan, and today we have another huge booking to show you. The above photo was from a Japanese ad for MAC cosmetics, which as far as cosmetics goes, is one of the biggest in the industry. Rachel shot the photo during her current trip to Tokyo, and this trip is turning out to be a huge success for her. Keep up the good work Rachel, we are sure we'll be posting more amazing images from your trip because you are on a hot streak!

Rachel Cook for VOGUE JAPAN
Is it just us, or have we had a lot of models featured in various editions of Vogue lately? Not that we are complaining, because for models there are few bookings that are more enviable than a Vogue booking. The latest Vogue shoot is Pulse Management's, Rachel Cook, for Vogue Japan. The shoot is on the dark and moody side, and Rachel looks incredible... in short WE LOVE IT! Rachel is currently in Japan and she has been busy working left and right over there, but this job is the icing on the cake. You are absolutely killing Rachel, and we are so proud.

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Amy Swenson for Chloe
Today's Major Moment Monday is another recent one. We are completely enamored with this shoot that Amy Swenson did on her last trip to Asia. Amy looks absolutely stunning in these images. Chloe is one of the few fashion brands that is both prestigious and fashion forward, while being wearable for women. Those qualities are the reason we love the brand, and we love it even more now that Amy has modeled for them. We knew this girl was going to do big things, and we have a feeling she is just scratching the surface. We are looking forward to big, big things from this beauty.
Pulse Mgmt's Matt Chase
This video of Pulse Management Action Sports Star, Matt Chase, hit 10,000 views in three short weeks. Watch it and you will quickly understand why! We were a little disappointed with the snowboarding in the Olympics (the conditions didn't help anything), but then we watched this video of Matt and it reminded us of why we love the sport so much. Snowboarding is just so fun to watch, especially with riders like Matt! He is a Minnesota native, and we couldn't be more excited to have him as a part of our team. Welcome to the team Matt, let's make some snowboarding history together.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! In honor of this day of love, we thought we would share this ultra-romantic photo of our girl Natalie Keyser. How stunning and timeless is this picture?
Whether you are celebrating today with friends, family, significant others or otherwise, we hope you all are feeling loved. We sure love and appreciate you for reading our blog and keeping up with our models who we also LOVE!

Sara Grace Kelly for Vogue Italia
Oh Sara Grace Kelley, we couldn't be more excited to see these pics of you from Vogue Italia's Website! Who would have thought that the preteen from Idaho we signed years ago, would be traveling the world and shooting for Vogue? We thought you would, which is why we signed you, and we are so glad we did. You look beautiful, strong, and dramatic all at once and these pictures are something you should be proud of. We definitely are proud of you!

Alisha Judge Fashion Week Card
Fashion Week is still in full swing, and we had to share with you Alisha Judge's Show Card for our New York Partner, Fusion. Fusion really killed it with the concept and set up for these cards, and Alisha totally brought these cards to life. NYFW has been crazy for our models out there, and we are trying to keep up with these stiletto-clad beauties. Next up for Alisha is Italy and then France for their respective fashion weeks. Don't worry we will keep you all posted on what she is up to.
Erin Cummins for Kofler
We are loving this advertisement Erin Cummins did for Kofler (a German company). She looks amazing as does this video shot by Gerry Ebner. Erin is currently soaking up the sun, and working of course, in Miami. Every project this girl books turns out amazing, so we are on the edge of our seats to see what she does next.

Education and Modeling
When we are speaking with potential models, one of the first concerns their parents have for us is how we prioritize their schooling vs. their modeling career. We will be the first people to say that our models' educations are of the utmost importance to us, and we utilize whatever methods necessary to help keep our models and their parents happy. Most of the time our models stay in their normal schools and we do not interrupt their daily lives, unless they have a booking or a job that encourages us look at other options. For Olivia Hamilton, before she started modeling she was heavily involved in Ballet so traditional schooling was already not the best option for her. Once she started modeling, she continued her education online so she could pursue her modeling career in Japan. She was recently the featured student on her school's website. Olivia, we are so proud of you. Not only for being an amazing model but for taking your school work as seriously as you do everything else. You are a great example for all of our models.
Shaun, We are Proud of You!
We are going to be honest here and say we were more than a little bit bummed when Shaun White didn't get his 3rd Gold medal in a row last night during the Olympics. To see someone so talented and so driven, fall short of his goal was heartbreaking. We can only imagine how he is feeling. Then we saw this article in the Washington Post, and we loved seeing someone else reiterate what we already know about him. Shaun White is not only an incomparable snowboarder, he is just a good guy. Being a public figure is not always easy, so an article like this makes us proud to be his friend. Maybe Sochi hasn't turned out as planned, but that's how it goes sometimes. We are looking forward to seeing what Shaun has up next, because we are sure it will be incredible.

Natalie Keyser Closes the Thom Browne NYFW Show!
Pulse Management's, Natalie Keyser, closed the Thom Browne show at NYFW. You may remember this post we wrote about Natalie in Browne's September show, and it looks like he was impressed with her too, because she was selected to CLOSE THE SHOW. (that means she was the last model to walk down the runway, it's a big deal in the modeling world) We have plenty more pics from Natalie's fashion week frenzy but we thought this one was a great way to kick off her fashion week coverage. We are not exaggerating when we say that Thom Browne is one of the most anticipated shows of the whole season, and we are so proud that our Natalie closed it.
This picture is from Natalie's instagram, of her still in wardrobe and hair/makeup from the show. We love seeing these behind the scenes pictures. Hopefully it makes you all feel like you are a part of all the action. Check back for more fashion week posts!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Georgia Weeks is Breaking Big!
We are doing today's MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY in a different way than usual, because this one is happening right now, we are not looking back. Pulse Management Model, Georgia Weeks, is making some major waves in the industry so we think it is fitting to feature her today. The above photo is from a feature she was in on Italian Vogue's website. It was photographed by Aaron Kim, and we think it is just perfect.
Not only was Georgia featured on Vogue.com, she was chosen on Friday as Photogenics pic for their Fresh Face Friday feature. Photogenics is our LA partner, and we are thrilled that they love Georgia as much as we do! Click here for more pictures and the whole feature on the Photogenics blog.

Good Luck Shaun!
Shaun White and Stacey Eastman
While we have been preoccupied with the beginning of Fashion Week in NYC, we almost missed a chance to post about another huge event that kicked off yesterday. The WINTER OLYMPICS in Sochi! As a company that also represents action sports, we are watching closely to see what is going on in the Olympics and we are stoked that Slopestyle is now an olympic event!
We would like to wish our longtime friend, Shaun White, the best of luck this olympics. Bring home that 3rd Gold Medal in a row for Team USA in the half pipe. We met Shaun when he came to our party at Sundance a few years ago, and have kept in touch since. Good luck Shaun, make us proud in Sochi, like we know only you can!

Fusion Models Fall/Winter 2014 Women's Show Package featuring Natalie Keyser
This show package video that Fusion (our NYC Partner) put out for Fashion week is insane, in the very best way! The photographer on this amazing project was An Le, and more detail about those who participated can be found here. With materials like this, we think the Fusion girls, especially Natalie are going to kill it this fashion week. Don't worry we will keep you all posted with the details.

Beautiful Buddies!
Liz Kennedy and Olivia Hamilton are busy conquering the streets of Tokyo together! They are both busy going to shoots, castings and back and forth to the agency. As you can tell by their faces, these two American teens seem to be having the time of their lives in Tokyo. As we mentioned in our post yesterday, we love when our models befriend each other. Liz and Olivia's respective friends in their hometowns in Minnesota and Colorado probably can't relate to their crazy lives in Tokyo right now, so we are glad they have each other. We are sure their families are as well!

Pulse Mgmt Team + Our Models + LA = Perfection
Jessie Flanagan (Scout), Natalie Keyser (Model), Amy and Missy Swenson (Model Mom/Scout and Model), Lacey Hevern (Director of Scouting), Vikki Leza (Scout), Stacey and Shayna Eastman (Pulse Mgmt President and Pulse COO)
Sometimes we say this to the point that it sounds cliche, but we really do feel like our models and our team are a family. We are counting down the days until our next Dolls Model Management Test Shoot in LA, and we can't wait to see some of our new faces, and get some of our team back together. As a company we have models and scouts scattered across the country, so when we get together it is such a treat. We have been looking through these pics from this fall when we got the team and a few models together for meetings and test shoots in Hollywood, and we are getting so excited for our next shoot.
Natalie Keyser, Stacey Eastman, and Lacey were showing Liz Kennedy and her mom the ropes at Liz's very first test shoot. Currently Liz is in Tokyo on a $25,000 contract. This girl is going to be a superstar and she was lucky to have Natalie to mentor her while in Hollywood.
Lacey, Shayna and Natalie being LA tourists. I wasn't kidding when I said we all feel like family.
We also love seeing our models form friendships together. Paris Naro, Rachel Cook and Charlee Pilon all became friends in LA, and it served them well when they were booking jobs together. We find it is nice for our models to connect and form friendships with each other because they can relate to each other. Being a model is exciting, but it has its unique sets of stressors and pressure, and it is comforting for our models to have each other to talk about what is going on. We are so looking forward to our next Hollywood shoot in just a few weeks!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hye Rim Park for Dolce and Gabbana
For today's Major Moment Monday we are looking back to when Pulse Management discovery, Hye Park, absolutely amazed us in the above Dolce & Gabbana campaign. The campaign was shot by famed fashion photographer Steven Klein. Dolce & Gabbana is one of the most powerful fashion houses in existence, and the fact that Steven Klein shot the advertising campaign was just icing on the cake.
When we started Hye she was arguably the first major Asian supermodel, and after her major success there has been numerous successful Asian models since. In fact when Hye was hired to walk in the Prada fashion show in February 2005, many people credit that moment as the rise of the Asian model. It took a while for us to start getting Hye work, but once we did she emerged on the fashion scene like few others have. Her modeling career is the kind that dreams are made of, as chronicled in this profile in NY Magazine.
We are so proud to have been the people who introduced Hye Rim Park to the fashion world, and we are even more proud that we helped to change the idea of what a supermodel is supposed to look like.

Aaron Jessee Not Your Average Surfer
You may remember our other posts about Aaron Jessee, an incredible surfer that is signed to our Action Sports Division. We decided to have Aaron leave his current home in Hawaii and take a quick trip to LA for a test shoot with one of our favorite fashion photographers, Rodney Ray. After looking through these pics, we think we may have to yank Aaron out of the ocean and turn him into a male model! Not really, that would be a disservice to surfing, but we are thrilled his pics turned out so well because we are going to have clients lining up around the block to have this guy endorse their products. A killer surfer with killer looks. Nothing to complain about there!

Olivia Hamilton in Spur Magazine
We are loving these tear sheets of our model, Olivia Hamilton, from Spur Magazine. This editorial was for a Jill Stuart feature, and we think that these clothes look like they were made for Olivia. The spread ran in the January 2014 issue of Spur. These photos were taken on her last trip to Japan. Her trip proved so successful that Olivia headed back to Tokyo about a week ago, and has been working non-stop since she landed. Tokyo is a long way from her Colorado hometown, but with the way Olivia has been working there lately, we bet she it is starting to feel like her home away from home!

Rachel Cook Has Got You Covered!
Pulse Management's Rachel Cook is taking the world of beauty by storm. We love the dramatic look of her makeup on the cover of Nail It! magazine. It is a stark contrast to the luminous natural look she has in the ads for Lorac Cosmetics below.
These days manicures are just as important as hair and makeup. On the red carpets this awards season E! has a mani camera, dedicated solely to capturing the trends in manicures on celebrities. Rachel is on the cover of the nail magazine, and the first two photos that show up on the home page for Lorac. We aren't surprised that the beauty world loves Rachel, look at her gorgeous face! We will buy some Lorac Cosmetics right this second if we can look as flawless she does.
