If you aren't following our models Olivia Hamilton and Liz Kennedy on their social media, you are missing out.  (Olivia's instagram, and Liz's instagram) These two BFFs have been posting pictures of their time in Tokyo and it is giving us not only travel envy, but some serious friendship goals!  We are looking forward to seeing pictures from their shoots out there, but in the meantime we are loving seeing these pictures.  Maybe we are biased but we have to say that some of these pictures look like they could be in a magazine, but I guess that's what happens when two models are best friends and the city of Tokyo is their background.

We are just counting our blessings at Pulse Management these days, because not only are our models working all over the globe, they are making friends with each other while doing it!  With social media these days we get a much better look into what our models are doing in their off time, and we are happy to see they are having a ball.  Modeling can be isolating, so making friends in the industry that can relate to what you are going through is crucial.  Keep the updates coming ladies, we are loving seeing what you are all up to!

This is definitely turning out to be a hot summer for some of our models!  We posted about Andrea Steele in New York a few weeks ago, and now she is headed off to Tokyo.  She has a contract there and we can't wait to see the work she does during her trip.  We have sent many of our models to Tokyo including Ashland, Liz, and Olivia and it has been a pivotal place for each of their careers.  Good luck Andrea, we are so excited for you!

Yesterday we posted about one of our new models, Mia.  Keep in mind she just did her first test shoot last week.  Things are moving fast for this beauty because within a week's time she and her mom are headed out to Miami where we saw a lot of interest for her.  Sometimes things move quickly for a model, and sometimes it takes a little bit of time to gain some momentum.  In Mia's case she waited five years to do her test shoot, but now that we finally got some professional pictures of her things are moving quickly.  Have fun in Miami ladies, hopefully you get a little time on the beach in between castings and photoshoots!

Remember when we shared this post with you, about Liz Kennedy's time in Tokyo?  We we recently found these pictures from an editorial she did in Japan called Emotion, in Motion.  We are digging Liz's edgy look, she could fit right in with Joan Jett, and that is a big compliment.  Also, we just got a pic of Liz's new editorial for Elle Vietnam, and it is amazing.  Hmmmm, I think I'll share it with you tomorrow, so come back and check it out!

We are hoping you saw our post yesterday about our model Ashland Wendlandt walking in the Dior show in Tokyo.  We have a couple new pictures for you that we had to share.  Also, news stories about the show were popping up everywhere yesterday.  The fact that Rihanna was in attendance and it was her first event as the guest of honor was particularly noteworthy.  Check out this story from WWD, and this one from Style.com (two of the biggest publications in fashion). This show is hopefully going to lead to some big things for Ashland, and as soon as we can share details with you, you better believe we will.

Yesterday our model Ashland had quite an exciting day.  She walked in the Dior show in Tokyo, which any fashion lover will know is huge.  There aren't many fashion brands as iconic as Dior, and Ashland now has walking down their runway under her belt. After the show Ashland got the pleasure to meet Rihanna, who is currently starring in a Dior campaign. Ashland who we discovered at a concert, went from being a normal Wisconsin teenager to walking the runway in Japan and hanging out with Rihanna.  We are so proud of you Ashland, and we know there are exciting things ahead for you.  This is just the beginning!

Let's Get Lost with Ashland in Tokyo

Last week we posted THIS with behind the scenes pictures from one of Ashland Wendlandt's photo shoots in Tokyo.  Now we have the video that accompanies the pictures and it is in a word, beautiful.  From Ashland's various looks, to the Tokyo background, to the crooning of Chet Baker, this short film of Ashland is one of the better fashion videos we've seen in awhile.  Kozumi did a fantastic job with the direction.  We can't wait to see what else Ashland has been up to in Tokyo!

We posted last week about Ashland and Jen Wendlandt's arrival in Tokyo.  We are pleased to report that she booked her first shoot, and judging from these behind the scenes pics, it's going to be killer.  It is always fun to be able to look at pictures from the day of the shoot and then later compare them to the photos that they choose for the editorial. Don't worry as soon as the actual pictures from this shoot are published we will share them with you!  Keep up the good work Ashland, and enjoy Japan! 

And She's Off!

Ashland Wendlandt, one of our newer models, just started her journey in Japan.  We sent her there on a contract that will both help her build her book, and gain a lot of experience in front of the camera.  Her mom, Jen, is along for the adventure.  We are looking forward to seeing a lot more pictures of Ashland's time in Tokyo, and we will keep you updated on her modeling out there.

Liz Takes Tokyo by Storm!

When Liz Kennedy went to Tokyo last year, she sure made the most of her time! We recently received some of her work from when she was out there and are so excited to share it with you.  We may not understand the words on these pages, but we don't need to, the pictures say it all.  Liz looks amazing, and it is fun to see our girl from Minnesota in these Japanese magazines and advertisements.

How pretty are these images of our girl Sophia Skloss?  They are from the 2014 Fall/Winter cookbook for La Totalite.  These pictures are from when Sophia was working in Asia, as we documented in these posts.  We can't say enough how valuable spending time working in Asia has been for so many of our models.  It helps them build their confidence and make some money before they try to work in the other major markets.  Sophia spent her time in Tokyo well, and we are working hard to continue building the momentum she gained while over there.  Stay tuned everyone, we are expecting to see great things from this model.
