TBT: Nichole Martinez, Then and Now

It's been a while since our last Throwback Thursday post, and I don't know about you but I've missed them.  There is something about the nostalgia combined with the instant gratification of seeing how far a model has come that I love.  For instance the above picture of Nichole Martinez is from her first photo shoot with us.  Back in 2011 our scout Lacey found Nichole in Colorado, and then Nichole had a test shoot and from it we made her first comp card.  Below you can see Nichole's comp card from the most recent NYFW, last February.  Since last summer Nichole has been featured on Models.com, and twice in WWD.  We are looking forward to seeing what else Nichole accomplishes during her career, and we will continue to keep you posted on this beauty.

We couldn't be happier to see Nichole Martinez start to make major waves in the modeling industry.  In the past few months she was featured on Models.com and then on WWD twice!  Check out our blog posts about these articles here, here, and here. 

Our incredible scout Lacey Hevern found Nichole in her home state of Colorado and we launched her career.  Now she has agencies in New York and London and its all because our scout found her at a Taylor Swift concert.  

We are looking forward to seeing what she does next!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Olivia and Nichole on MODELS.COM

We've introduced you all to models.com before, but just in case you are new to our blog, we'll reiterate the importance of the site.  Models.com, is basically the last word when it comes to the modeling industry, their model features and rankings are arguably the most valid in the industry.  They have a feature on the front page of their site right now called the Models.com Go Sees, where they invited some of the industry's rising stars, along with some already established models to come to their office for a quick photo for the feature.  TWO models discovered by Pulse Management were included in this week's installment of Go Sees, Olivia Hamilton and Nichole Martinez.  When we scouted Olivia and Nichole we knew they had the potential to be amazing models, and it is nice to see that we're not the only ones that think that! Congrats girls, this is MAJOR!

Nichole Martinez was recently featured in this article in WWD as part of their recurring Model Call column. WWD uses this column to showcase some up and coming models and we are thrilled that Nichole was one of them.  We discovered Nichole in her home state of Colorado, and now she is making a name for herself in the New York fashion industry.  

We are cracking up at her saying that she originally thought the attention for getting scouted was "creepy", but we are glad that she decided to pursue modeling anyway!  She also talks about reasons why she or her parents thought she shouldn't start modeling, but her desire to try it outweighed them.  There will always be reasons why you shouldn't do something, but sometimes you just have to follow your dreams, no matter how intimidating or unobtainable they may seem.  Nothing ventured is nothing gained, and we are so glad we were able to help Nichole enter the modeling world.

Hannah Holman and Nichole Martinez for L'Officiel Hellas

This editorial for L'Officiel Hellas is incredible for a few reasons: this first is it features not one, but two models that we discovered, Hannah Holman and Nichole Martinez.  The styling, layout and over all art direction in this editorial turned out so sleekly, we could stare at these pictures all day long.  If only we could ready the text that goes along with this editorial.  We discovered both of these models and launched their careers, and it makes us so proud to see Hannah and Nichole modeling side by side in an international magazine.

Look Who Was in WWD!

Did you guys check out Women's Wear Daily yesterday? If you did you would have seen, THREE of our models in a slideshow they did about models in their favorite shirts. You can check out the slideshow here. WWD is one of the fashion world's most important and influential publications, and we are on could nine that our girls were featured as, "some of modeling's freshest faces" and it included their instagram handles.  It is crazy to think that Liz Kennedy, Olivia Hamilton, and Nichole Martinez were all discovered by Pulse Management and all three were featured in this one slideshow on WWD!  Liz and Olivia are currently with Fusion Model Management in New York, and Nichole is currently with Elite Model Management.  We have always thought that these three models have an incredible amount of potential, and its nice to see that WWD agrees with us!
