While in New York, Pulse Management President, Stacey Eastman, was able to catch up with some of our models working there currently. He was able to see Liz Kennedy (from Minnesota) and Olivia Hamilton (from Colorado) walk the same runway in a fashion show. Later they went to dinner with another Pulse Management model, Alisha Judge and Fusion Model Management's (Pulse's New York Partner) Jodie Louise. We have models working all over the world right now, so it is always nice when we are in the same place as some of them!

Anna Fisher Arrives in NYC
Pulse Management is taking over New York City this week! Not only is our president, Stacey Eastman, in NYC so many of our models are there right now too. In the above picture Anna Fisher is saying goodbye to her twin sister Katie, as Anna boarded a flight to NYC. This is the first time the twins will live apart in their 18 year lives. Luckily, Stacey was there upon Anna's arrival to help her get acquainted with New York. First stop was the Fusion (Pulse Mgmt's New York Partner) Office, and then they toured around the city. Also, what trip to NY is complete without a taxi ride, so Stacey sent us a video of him and Anna riding through the crazy streets of NYC. We are so excited to see what happens with Anna on this trip, because this model's potential is out of this world.

Model Life: Viktoria Lien
We just received this essay that one of our models, Viktoria, sent us and we thought it was too good not to share with all of you. Viktoria is from Orlando, and she is currently in New York City modeling. As detailed in her essay below, she had to work through her shyness in order to become a model. As you can see from her photos, she is an amazing model, and she will only get better as she continues to get more comfortable in front of the camera. We love to hear from our models in their own words, because we feel like it helps others relate to what they are going through. We can't wait to see what this girl has in store for us! Please enjoy Viktoria's essay below:
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”I was asked on a First grade form. I’m not sure what I answered, maybe veterinarian, but I am sure that I did not write movie star or rock star or President. I did not see myself being the center of attention or preforming in front of a lot of people. I was shy. It's true that in third grade I did take an afternoon class in cheerleading which is not the activity of a shy person. But third grade cheerleading is hardly real cheerleading and there were only ten girls in the class and they were all my friends. Also, I was the tallest girl so I was always placed on the bottom of the pyramids or in the back of the group. Our only public performance was given on the final day of class when the parents, mostly moms, came. So this did not interfere with my shyness. When I was in sixth grade, I was asked the question again. I answered "marine biologist." What can I say? I loved animals. In fact, my BFF and I decided that , when we grew up, we would live together and have a house full of dogs. Still no movie star, rock star or President for me. I was not a performer. When I was thirteen (an official teenager), my shyness got worse and my head filled with a lot of questions about my life: Do people like me? Will they hate me if I do something wrong? My biggest fear was upsetting people around me. I did not enjoy being the center of attention and thought that other people deserved it more. My mind was wrapped up in growing up and not what kind of job I wanted to doWhen I was fourteen, I went to a concert with my friends, and I was scouted by a modeling agency. As a good mother would do, my mom checked the website of the agency that scouted me, and made sure that the it was the real deal and not just someone trying to take our money. It turned out to be real. I was a little hesitant about the whole modeling idea because I had no idea what was going to occur. We went to Miami to visit agencies and do test shoots. It was a foreign feeling for me to be in the center of attention and to have people fuss over me. My shyness leaked through and my mind filled with questions, "Did I really deserved this?"This summer I went to New York to audition with NY Modeling Agencies. New York is the big league. I was immediately offered a contract by a major agency and I signed with them. My manager told me that having a contract in New York shows how much I deserve it as much as the next person. He said, "being crazy is better than being bland, there is nothing that you could do to make them not like you, and be more extroverted and this will help you in the long run." The photographers were very sweet. They taught me about the industry and how to come out of my shell. It still is weird to be the center of attention, but I enjoy what I’m doing and that is all that matters to me.. The more I model, the less strange being the center of attention feels. So what does the shy girl, who does not like being the center of attention, want to be when she grows up? What else? A Model, whose job it is to perform in front of a lot of people.

Alex Wallace's Dolls Shoot
One of Alex's (AMAZING) test shoot photos
When we had our first ever online model search a few months ago, we had no idea what to expect. We were thrilled when we had so many people enter, and even more so when we chose our winner, Alex Wallace. This fresh faced 16 year old from Southern California, was everything we hoped our winner would be! One part of her prize was a test shoot for her portfolio with Pulse Management's sister company, Dolls Model Management.
Alex's shoot took place in Hollywood over the weekend, and we have only seen a few of the pictures (one is posted above), but they have exceeded our high expectations for this girl. Famed fashion photographer Rodney Ray took Alex's pictures and Seth Dobie from Tinsel Tokyo Magazine was the videographer. We are thrilled that Alex is our winner, because we know that we will be able to do amazing things with this model's career, just wait and see!

Natalie Keyser for Grazia Mexico
Natalie Keyser is continuing her hot streak, and she is showing no signs of cooling off anytime soon! The above photos are from her recent editorial for Grazia Mexico. We keep saying it but the images we have seen of Natalie lately are some of the best that we've seen throughout her entire career, and we would know because we have managed her for her entire career.
We were touched earlier this week when Natalie wrote a personal message to Pulse Mgmt President, Stacey Eastman, on her Facebook. Natalie said, "Stacey Eastman thank you for always being a great manager and friend towards me. Since 12 years of age you have taught me so many wonderful things. Thank you for praying for me and believing in me when I didn't believe in myself. Thank you for pushing me to be the best model I could be. Because of you, I kept going. And I'm so glad I did."
We love all of our models, and we really pride ourselves in having a personal relationship with each one of them. When making decisions about what market to send them to, and which agencies to place them with in each market we truly consider all aspects of our models lives and careers. We think this is the unique advantage we offer to our models. Thank you for your kind words Natalie, we couldn't love you anymore!

Carson for Christian Dior
Carson Bruner is making us so proud in these behind the scenes pictures from her shoot with Dior! If you aren't familiar with the House of Dior, please click here, so you can understand the magnitude of this shoot. Carson has been in Paris for a couple of weeks, and so far so good! We can't wait to see the final product from this shoot, because in our opinion Carson and Dior are going to be an incredible combination.

Alex Wallace for Nena and Co.
Do you all remember Alex? She won our very first online model search, as noted here. If you follow @nenaandco on instagram, you may have recognized Alex on their posts today and yesterday. Nena and Co is an amazing brand of bags, clothing, etc. and they are kind of a big deal on Instagram. We love thinking that all of those Nena followers saw our girl Alex looking amazing modeling their latest bags.
Part of what Alex won in the model search is a portfolio shoot with Dolls Model Management, and it is happening this weekend. Don't worry we will show you some behind the scenes pics of her shoot next week!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hye Rim Park for Tiffany and Co.
Today's MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY took place in the Fall/Winter fashion season of 2008. At that time Pulse Management discovery Hye Rim Park, was breaking into the business in a major way. There we not many (if any) major Asian models at the time, and Hye was in the process of changing that. When she was in this advertisement campaign for Tiffany and Co. alongside already established supermodels Shalom Harlow, Liya Kebede, and Sasha Pivovarova it was a major moment in both her modeling career and our management career. We are getting goosebumps all over again just thinking about it. We love being the people that introduce models to the fashion industry, and it is so rewarding when they make it big!

Dynamic Duo
Do you all remember this post about Liz Kennedy and Olivia Hamilton? Well these model friends are back in action, this time in a different city. This selfie was taken on the streets of New York City while they headed out to castings. We've said it before and we'll say it again, we love it when our models become friends. They can relate to each other and when things line up and they end up in the same city we love seeing them have fun together. Olivia and Liz are a couple of normal teenagers from Colorado and Minnesota who have bonded together all over the world. We think that is pretty cool.

Natalie Keyser Making Pulse Proud in London
Modeling is definitely an industry where youth is highly valued. We have to say though, Natalie Keyser is one of our more experienced models, and she has never looked better than she does right now. She is by no means old, not even close, but she has been modeling for quite a few years with us (that's what happens when you are discovered and signed at age 12). We discovered Natalie and we knew right away her potential in modeling. Even though she was younger than we normally sign models, we knew that if we didn't sign her it would only be a matter of time until someone else did, and we did not want to lose her! Natalie is currently working in Mexico, but these images are from a shoot that she did the last time she was in London. They are some of the most beautiful pictures of Natalie we have ever seen. PERIOD. That is a benefit of starting modeling when you are young, you gain a lot of experience. Now Natalie who is at an age where a lot of models are just starting their careers has years of experience and she is consistently producing flawless images like these ones. We think we have just scratched the surface with what this girl is going to show us. The best is definitely yet to come with our girl Natalie, and we can't wait to see.

Ali Stephens for Lucky Magazine
These pictures are of Pulse Mgmt discovery, Ali Stephens, from the May 2014 issue of Lucky Magazine. Everything about these pictures gets us excited for summer and for summer fashion. One of our scouts discovered Ali at a mall in her hometown of Salt Lake City, and knew she was going to be a major force to be reckoned with. Ali's career took off, and we had her walking the runways of Milan, Paris and New York and on the cover of Vogue in hardly anytime at all. Sometimes it takes a model a little bit of time to break into a market, but with Ali, her success was almost overnight. Now seven years later, Ali is still booking huge jobs, and proving she was not just a flash in the pan. We are so proud to have had a part in her success.

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hannah Holman for Australian Vogue
For today's MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY, we are revisiting a May 2011 editorial that Hannah Holman did for Australian Vogue. Pulse Management scouted and developed Hannah, and we love looking back on pictures that this amazing model has been in throughout her career because she is just amazing. We always knew that she had the potential to be a major model, and she worked hard and is one of our most successful models to date. This circus themed editorial was photographed by Max Doyle and was styled by fashion editor, Meg Gray. This shoot was a huge deal when it came out, and looking back at these pictures we still feel like it is a major shoot for Hannah. Anytime one of our models is in Vogue is huge, but when one is in Vogue, looking like this, it is simply sublime. To see the rest of the photos from this editorial, click here.

Big Moment for Natalie Keyser!
We love this pic that our girl, Natalie Keyser, posted on her instagram. All you models out there know that it is a big deal when one of your pictures ends up in a frame at your agency's office. It means that out of all the work, from every model they represent, the photo of yours is one that they deem noteworthy, and they want others to be sure to see it too! This picture is from Natalie's agency that we have her with in Mexico, Paragon Model Management. Congrats on achieving your goal Nat, we are just as thrilled as you are.
Also, we loved this article about the realities of being a model. Modeling can be very exciting and glamorous, but this article entails some of the less glamorous things about modeling, and we think it is a must-read for all models, their friends and family, and any aspiring models. For the people who want to get into modeling, it is good to know what you are getting into and to have realistic expectations.

Carson Spotted on Marc Jacobs' Instagram
As far as designers go, there are few as big as Marc Jacobs. We were ecstatic when we saw our girl Carson Bruner on his international instagram. Carson is showing a look from his Pre-Fall 2014 Collection and both she and the clothes look amazing! Congrats Carson, we know this isn't your first time working for Marc Jacobs, and we are sure this won't be your last time!

How Do You Say "Lucky" in French?
One of the major perks of working in the modeling industry is being able to introduce our models to places, people and cultures that they may not otherwise be exposed to. Two of our favorite models, Carson Bruner and Armon Eastman jetted off to Paris this week and we are loving seeing their pictures. Pulse Mgmt President (and Armon's Dad), Stacey Eastman, accompanied these two on their trip. Carson and Armon will be busy working while in France, but it is fun to see these pictures of them, just being teenagers in one of the world's most amazing cities. Keep posting pictures you guys, we love seeing them!
