Sophia Skloss on Models.com!

It's a big accomplishment for any model, and we are so proud of Sophia Skloss for now having her own profile on Models.com.  We have written about it before, but basically models.com is the go to site for modeling industry news.  You can't create your own profile on the site, they will create one for you when they think you have distinguished yourself amongst the many models trying to make it in the industry.  From now on, all of Sophia's jobs will be chronicled on her models.com profile, and she is recognized with the top models in the industry.  Huge congrats Sophia, now lets fill that profile with some jobs!

Liz Kennedy for Japanese Elle Magazine

Do you all remember last year when we posted THIS to share with you our excitement over Liz Kennedy's Elle Japan editorial?  Well, we finally came across another picture from the editorial and we had to share it with you.  I can't decide what is more stunning in this picture, Liz, her Valentino dress, or the sandy scenery?  Good thing I don't have to.  I'll just keep gazing at these photos, and I don't think I'll be the only one!

Bon Voyage Ashland and Jen!

Hopefully you all remember Ashland Wendlandt, our model from Wisconsin.  Since we discovered her and launched her career she has traveled to Los Angeles, New York (multiple times), Japan, and now she is in Paris where she walked in a show for Dior! (We'll update you more about that soon) Ashland's awesome mom Jen (who is also a scout for Pulse Mgmt), has been by her side for all of these trips.  Ashland is so lucky to have not only a management team that is looking out for her best interest,e but a mother who is willing to put her own life on hold to help her daughter pursue her dreams.  Granted they are both traveling to some incredible places, but it is not without some sacrifices (including missing her son's High School Graduation).  We are so grateful not only for the parents of our models trusting us with their son/daughter's careers, but for the things they willingly give up in order to support their children.   

Tori Praver with Chanel Iman for Dennis Basso

Yesterday we blogged about Pulse Management discovery Tori Praver and her three covers of Elle Italia.  In case you are wondering what she is up to now, she recently landed the Dennis Basso F/W 15 ad campaign alongside Chanel Iman.  You may know of the designer Dennis Basso because two of our models walked in his latest runway show, as we documented here.  

A Dennis Basso campaign is a big deal in the fashion world, previous models who have been in his campaigns are Coco Rocha, Naomi Campbell and the incomparable Iman.  The campaign had an article about it on WWD that you can read HERE.  Congrats Tori, we are looking forward to seeing more pics from the campaign when they are released.

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Tori Praver Covers Elle Magazine THREE TIMES

For today's Major Moment Monday we are highlighting Tori Praver's THREE covers of Elle Italia.  Getting a cover of a magazine is exciting, but can you imagine landing three covers of not just any magazine, of an Elle Magazine?  This was and still is huge, and we are excited all over again just writing about it. Below are some of the photos from the accompanying editorials from these cover shoots.

We discovered Tori in Hawaii and then launched her modeling career.  She has gone on to become not only one of our most successful models, but she is a swimwear designer, and a wife and mother.  It's hard to imagine what she would be up to now if we never scouted her, but we are so glad we did!

Liz Kennedy for Elle Vietnam

As promised yesterday, without further delay, here are the pics from Liz Kennedy's editorial for Elle Vietnam.  We love the moodiness of these pictures, Liz looks nothing short of incredible per usual.  I love that we are really seeing some attitude, and for lack of a better word, fierceness in Liz's photos lately.  She has come a long way from the sweet 15 year old we scouted at a concert in Minnesota.  Congrats on this editorial Liz, Elle Magazine is a big deal and we are so proud of you!

Liz Kennedy in Emotion in Motion

Remember when we shared this post with you, about Liz Kennedy's time in Tokyo?  We we recently found these pictures from an editorial she did in Japan called Emotion, in Motion.  We are digging Liz's edgy look, she could fit right in with Joan Jett, and that is a big compliment.  Also, we just got a pic of Liz's new editorial for Elle Vietnam, and it is amazing.  Hmmmm, I think I'll share it with you tomorrow, so come back and check it out!

Have You Met Bella?

Pulse Management is proud to introduce the beautiful Bella as one of our new faces.  Bella was scouted in Hawaii by Bree Hanneman and we are thanking our lucky stars that Bree found her.  Bella lives in Hawaii, which worked out perfectly because Bree is an incredible photographer and this picture is from a photoshoot that they did together.  This just goes to show that when you pair a new model with a talented photographer some magic can happen.  We can see great things happening for this beauty, stay tuned for updates!

Olivia is Back in NYC

Look out New York City, because our girl Olivia Hamilton is back and she is looking better than ever!  After spending a little bit of time at home and catching up on her school work, she is back in the city that is practically becoming her second home.  We love seeing pictures of her, seemingly in her element in New York.  It is always reassuring to us when we see our models becoming comfortable with their surroundings in New York, because the fashion market there is crucial.  Also, looking at these pictures we can't help but think that if Olivia is looking this good in her instagram snaps, her photoshoots are going to be out of this world!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hannah Holman for Sunday Times Style Magazine

For today's Major Moment Monday we are throwing it back to October of 2013, when this editorial of Pulse Management Discovery Hannah Holman was published.  The editorial ran in the Sunday Times Style Magazine, and Hannah looks as incredible as ever.  For those not familiar with this publication, it features some of the most prominent and promising models in the industry.  Over the years Karlie Kloss, Dourzen Kroes, Alexa Chung, Jourdan Dunn, Christy Turlington, Elle Macpherson and Alessandra Ambrosio have been in editorials in the mag, and thats just naming a few!  We were excited when Hannah booked this job that she would be included amongst so many of her talented peers.  

Meet Me In Rio with Hannah Holman

I don't know how the weather is where you are, but where I'm sitting in Southern California it is HOT!  These summer days remind me of when Hannah Holman was in the Bershka SS 14 Ad Campaign, and looking through these pictures all I want to be doing is spending time on a beach in Rio! We scouted Hannah in a small town in Utah, but we love how she fits right in hanging on the beaches in Brazil.  Who knows if Hannah would have ever had a chance to travel to Rio, and all of the other incredible places she has been if she never started modeling.  We are glad that we were able to launch Hannah's career, and help her find an incredible way to travel the world.  We are just happy we get to see pictures from all of her journeys.

TBT: Nichole Martinez, Then and Now

It's been a while since our last Throwback Thursday post, and I don't know about you but I've missed them.  There is something about the nostalgia combined with the instant gratification of seeing how far a model has come that I love.  For instance the above picture of Nichole Martinez is from her first photo shoot with us.  Back in 2011 our scout Lacey found Nichole in Colorado, and then Nichole had a test shoot and from it we made her first comp card.  Below you can see Nichole's comp card from the most recent NYFW, last February.  Since last summer Nichole has been featured on Models.com, and twice in WWD.  We are looking forward to seeing what else Nichole accomplishes during her career, and we will continue to keep you posted on this beauty.

New Editorial for Liz Kennedy

We have always though that Liz Kennedy looks pretty luminous, so the title of one of her newer editorials, "Everything is Illuminated" is very fitting.  This picture was featured in On the Rocks Magazine, and was photographed by Charlotte Wales.  Wales has photographed editorials for Vogue, W Magazine, and V Magazine amongst many others, so we were thrilled that our model Liz had the opportunity to be in a photo shoot with her.

Right now Liz is back in her hometown in Minnesota, enjoying a little bit of a summer break and hanging out with her friends.  We discover our models all over the place, so we like to see them getting back to their normal lives and being regular teenagers every once in awhile. We try to help them stay as balanced as possible. So enjoy it Liz because come September, you will be needed back on the runways in NYC! 

The Many Faces of Kristina Jordan

Have you ever had that feeling where you know something exciting is going to happen, and you just can't wait for it?  Thats kind of how we feel about our model Kristina Jordan.  As I look through this series of photos of her, I know that this model has the potential for an incredible career and I'm so excited to see all of the things she accomplishes.  She recently returned home from working in New York, which we documented here and here.  It is going to be exciting to be a part of her developing career, and don't worry we will keep you all posted on everything she accomplishes!  In the meantime enjoy this stunning series of photos from one of her test shoots.

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Georgia and Hazel for Teen Vogue

Each week on the Teen Vogue Instagram they post a slideshow called #modelmonday, where they share the faces of some new up and coming models.  Last Monday, TWO of our models were featured.  Georgia Weeks and Hazel Eakman's photos were included.  We are thrilled that out of nine models shown last week, two of them were discovered by us and are part of our Pulse Management team!  We have always seen great potential in these two models, and its amazing to see that Teen Vogue does too.

Liz, Olivia, and a Whole Lot of Awesome

This picture of Liz Kennedy and Olivia Hamilton is like the gift that keeps on giving.  First we liked it because it is a great backstage photo of when these two walked in the Dennis Basso show during February's NYFW.  The when we saw Liz's instagram caption with it, that she missed her best friend, it made us so happy!  We love when our models are friends with each other, and when they can support each other's successes shows not only true friendship, but also maturity on their part.  

Then we saw that Liz wrote that Cece Drake (actress Vanessa Shaw's character from Pretty Little Liars) is in the background of this pic, it just made the picture that much better.  If anyone here watches Pretty Little Liars, you know what a cult following it has.

Just when we thought we have uncovered all of the awesome layers in this picture, we looked in the comments of Liz's post, and guess who commented? Dennis Basso, the designer of the fashion show! So not only do we love this picture of our beautiful besties, the designer of the show that they walked in together also liked the picture.  It doesn't get much cooler than that! 

Gia Featured in "Meet the Muse"

Have you all seen the feature Meet the Muse on High Snobiety?  This week they featured our model, Gia Whited, click here to see it.  We always love seeing our models' personalities come through, and when they are interviewed it makes it even better! Gia's pictures for the feature look effortlessly cool, as always, but we think her interview answers are even better.  Way to represent Pulse Gia, you are definitely one of our favorite muses.
