PULSE MGMT'S Hye Park from the Modelinia iPhone App

Hye Rim Park was born on January 17, 1985, in Seoul, South Korea, and immigrated with her family to Salt Lake City when she was 13. She was discovered by Stacey Eastman of power house management company Pulse Mgmt. While attending the University of Utah in 2004. Hye is one of the few Asian models on the international high-fashion scene—there is a regrettable lack in the industry.

Hye’s first break came in early 2005, when Steven Meisel shot her for ItalianVogue prior to the Fall 2005 shows. After the shoot, she was asked to walk for major shows at New York Fall 2005 Fashion Week, including Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui. Her real big break came when Miuccia Prada and Russell Marsh cast her in the Prada and Miu Miu shows during Milan fashion week. She became the first non-Caucasian model since Naomi Campbell in 1997 to walk the show, and only the second Asian female model to walk for Prada. The Prada/Miu Miu bookings led to a flurry of bookings in Paris (Balenciaga, Chloe, Lanvin, Rochas), and Hye has since appeared on the catwalk for many other designers, including Christian Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Max Azria, Alexander McQueen, and Burberry.

Hye has collaborated with top photographers like Mario Testino, Steven Klein, Annie Leibovitz, Patrick Demarchelier, Craig McDean, and David Sims, in addition to her ongoing work with Meisel. Hye has also been booked for editorials for many magazines, including Vogue(American, French, Italian, Chinese, and Korean editions), Flair, Numéro,W, Allure, The New York Times, Pop, and Harper’s Baazar. She has posed in international campaigns for Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, D&G, H&M, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Gap, Le Printemps, Marc Jacobs, Cesare Paciotti, Tiffany & Co., MaxMara, Saks Fifth Avenue, Plastic Island, and Love, Sex, Money. She also has been the face of Korean brands H&T (Hangten) and KeraSys.

Hye still lives in Salt Lake City, near her family. “I don’t really like New York,” she says, because she finds it “too crowded. I like Paris better. It’s more quiet and fun.” In June 2008, Hye married her boyfriend of three years.

When she isn’t modeling, Hye says she likes “shopping, and I spend a lot of time on Cyworld.” (The website is the Korean equivalent of MySpace.) And when she’s done modeling? “I want to be a nurse,” she says. Lucky patients!

PULSE MGMT'S discovery Tori Praver from the Modelinia iPhone App

Born June 4, 1986 in San Diego, California, Pulse Mgmt's Stacey Eastman discovers Tori Praver grew up on the beaches of Maui, and was discovered at 11 in a local supermarket.

When she was 13, Tori moved to New York to start modeling, but realized she wasn't ready for life in the fast lane and moved back to Hawaii to finish high school. At 18, she returned to New York to model full time, landing campaigns for Guess, and scoring covers for magazines likeCosmopolitan, Glamour, and Elle. She was even lucky enough to have her photo featured in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition three years in a row (2007 through 2009).

A beach lover and avid surfer, Tori took her experience in the fashion industry and translated it into her own bathing suit line. She launched Tori Praver Swimwear in 2009 and has been fashioning beach bunnies ever since. We can't wait to see what she'll do next.

PULSE MGMT'S : Hannah Holman from the Modelinia iPhone App

Hannah Holman is a face you won't soon forget. Born in 1991 in the super small town of Leamington, Utah (think 200 people small), after Stacy Eastman of owner of mega management corp. Pulse Mgmt. Scouted her at a mall, it wasn't long before Hannah became a model in high demand

By 2008, she signed with Elite Model Management and found herself not only closing Prada's 2010 Resort, but also opening for Miu Miu's Resort collection as well as appearing in its Fall 2009 ad campaign. Already she's walked for Chanel, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Jonathan Saunders, Nina Ricci, and Missoni.

Spring 2010 campaigns saw Hannah as the chosen face for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart, and Burberry, which just means that more good things are in store for this platinum blonde.

The child of a schoolteacher mom and farmer father, Hannah plays the violin, loves to knit and bake on her downtime, and finds Frank Abagnale "compelling and clever." Even though she joined the fashion industry while still in high school, Hannah finished her degree online and will graduate on time with her class.

Pulse Mgmt's : Ali Stephens from the Modelinia iPhone App

Stacey Eastman strikes again Pulse Mgmt's discovery Ali Stephens was born May 10, 1991 in Salt Lake City. She enjoyed a normal childhood far from the glamour of the fashion industry, competing as a cross-country runner in high school. But in 2007, everything changed: She was discovered while shopping with her family.

After signing with Elite, Ali stormed the fashion world, opening Prada's show in Milan in September 2007. Shows in Paris for Chanel, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton quickly followed.

In the wake of her big debut on the runways, Ali was immediately spotlighted as a rising star in countless publications, from Pop magazine toStyle.com to Vmagazine.com. And so began 2008, which could be called the Year of Ali, with Chloé, M Missoni, ck Calvin Klein, Prada Sport, and Gap scooping her up for their campaigns. Ali was booked for 46 shows that fall, including the exclusive opening position at Calvin Klein in New York. She also landed her first cover, the March issue of W Korea, photographed by David Byun. Editorials in VogueParis, shot by Patrick Demarchelier, and Vogue Italia, shot by David Sims, furthered her standing as an It girl. What solidified it? A cosmetics contract with Chanel.

For the Spring 2009 shows, Ali opened Peter Som in New York and closed Jonathan Saunders, Preen, and Sophia Kokosalaki. What more could be in store for her? Time will tell, but pay close attention because this girl is fast—she runs a 5:31 mile!

Hannah Holman Poses for Victoria's Secret Pink

Hannah Holman Joins the VS Crew - Featured in Modelina.com

Around this time every year, our minds turn to one thing: the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show! And the excitement for this year’s glittery event has already begun, since Adriana Lima decorated New York City with the $2 million Fantasy Bra just last week.

Since our brain is filled with wings, over the top lingerie outfits, and angels, it makes perfect sense to give into the VS addiction and flip through the latest catalogue, right?

While perusing the latest offerings and model poses, we spied none other than adorable Hannah Holman, dressed up in VS Pink gear! Interestingly, hers is not the only surprising model appearance in collegiate sweats and precious bright colors as of late. Remember back in June when we spotted Coco Rocha jumping alongside Behati Prinsloo and Chanel Iman?

Now the real question is: Does this mean Hannah could very possibly make an appearance on the 2010 Victoria’s Secret runway? She is 19, so her age wouldn’t be an issue…

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME

I’m from Urbandale, Iowa, and was discovered while I was shopping at the mall. A scout approached me and after talking to her for a while my mom and I took her business card. That’s how I entered the world of modelling and it’s been an adventure ever since. Otherwise, I love shopping, swimming, riding my ripstick and playing board games, especially Monopoly. Now I’m excited about getting to wear beautiful clothes for shoots, and learning more about my strengths and weaknesses – like sleeping in on Saturday mornings.

2011 Meet the Misses v.60 - US Miss World 2011

The United States is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states, a federal district, and several territories in the Pacific and Caribbean. It is the world’s sole superpower and the leading economic, political, and cultural force in the world. At 9.83 million square kilometers and with over 312 million people, the United States is the third largest country by total area and population. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations. The U.S. economy is the world's largest national economy. The United States was founded by thirteen British colonies located along the Atlantic seaboard. On July 4, 1776, they issued the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed their right to self-determination and their establishment of a cooperative union. The rebellious states defeated the British Empire in the American Revolution, the first successful colonial war of independence. The current United States Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787; its ratification the following year made the states part of a single republic with a strong central government. The Bill of Rights, comprising ten constitutional amendments guaranteeing many fundamental civil rights and freedoms, was ratified in 1791. The United States is officially a secular nation; the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the free exercise of religion and forbids the establishment of any religious governance. The United States capital is Washington, D.C. The country is home to three of the Top 10 Global Cities: New York at #1, Chicago at #6 and Los Angeles at #7.
The original thirteen states were the successors of the thirteen colonies that rebelled against British rule. Early in the country's history, three new states were organized on territory separated from the claims of the existing states: Kentucky from Virginia; Tennessee from North Carolina; and Maine from Massachusetts. Most of the other states have been carved from territories obtained through war or purchase by the U.S. government. One set of exceptions comprises Vermont, Texas, and Hawaii: each was an independent republic before joining the union. During the American Civil War, West Virginia broke away from Virginia. The most recent state, Hawaii, achieved statehood on August 21, 1959. The states do not have the right to secede from the union.
The United States, with its large size, includes most climate types and a diverse geography. The coastal plain of the Atlantic seaboard gives way further inland to deciduous forests and the rolling hills of the Piedmont. The Appalachian Mountains divide the eastern seaboard from the Great Lakes and the grasslands of the Midwest. The Mississippi–Missouri River, the world's fourth longest river system, runs mainly north–south through the heart of the country. The flat, fertile prairie of the Great Plains stretches to the west, interrupted by a highland region in the southeast. The Rocky Mountains, at the western edge of the Great Plains, extend north to south across the country, reaching altitudes higher than 4,300 m in Colorado. Farther west are the rocky Great Basin and deserts such as the Mojave. The Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges run close to the Pacific coast. At 6,194 m, Alaska's Mount McKinley is the tallest peak in the country and in North America. Active volcanoes are common throughout Alaska's Alexander and Aleutian Islands, and Hawaii consists of volcanic islands. The supervolcano underlying Yellowstone National Park in the Rockies is the continent's largest volcanic feature.
The United States debuted in Miss World 1951 and produced three winners: Marjorie Wallace (1973), Gina Tolleson (1990) and Alexandria Mills (2010). This year Erin Cummins, US Miss World 2011, will represent her nation in Miss World 2011

The Times of Beauty proudly presents Erin Cummins, US Miss World 2011, in an exclusive interview for our interview series, Meet the Misses.

1. Give us an introduction of yourself.
Hello! My name is Erin Cummins. I come from a small town in Washington State. I'm 19 years old and come from a large family with 4 sisters and 3 brothers, they mean everything to me! I have been a professional model for the past 2 years and I try to live my life to the fullest extent!

2. Tell us a bit more about your country and hometown.
America is the land of the free and the home of the brave! Where people have the opportunity to live their dreams. My hometown Arlington has a lot of farmland and is close to the Pacific Ocean with breathtaking mountain views everywhere you look.

3. What does it mean to you to represent your country at the 61st Miss World finals?
It is such an honor! Its really an incredible and humbling experience that I get to teach the world about my country. I'm proud to be an American and couldn't have asked for a better way to represent the USA. Miss World can and does make such a positive difference worldwide and I'm so thankful to be a part of it.

4. If you have to choose a song to describe yourself, which would you choose and why?
Hakuna Matata. It means no worries! From the Disney movie The Lion King, my favorite movie when I was a child. I'm a very worry-free person with a positive attitude so it fits perfectly!

5. How would you describe a typical day in your life?
My days vary from relaxing at home with my friends and family to running around in a city from casting to casting. One of my daily activities include working out and I like to wind down at the end of the day by watching a movie.

6. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
10 years from now I see myself continuing this journey with new and exciting adventures while still growing and learning in a place I love with a successful career.

7. Which well known person from your country you most admire and why?
Oprah Winfrey. Well known for her talk show about literature, self-improvement, and spirituality, she is one of the most influential woman in the world. Oprah has been repeatedly ranked as the most philanthropic celebrity. She has created many charities, and does whatever she can to help the less fortunate around the world.

8. If you had to choose any other country to live in, which one would you choose and why?
America will always be home to me but if I had to choose it would have to be France or Australia. I love the seaside in France and it is close to other countries. Australia has such beautiful scenery with the worlds largest coral reef, as I have a big interest in marine biology.

9. What do you think is the worst kind of human injustice or prejudice happening now?
In my opinion, there is no such thing as the "worst". They are all wrong and I am completely against anything that involves human injustice and prejudice.

10. What are your duties as US Miss World 2011?
As Miss United States, I think it is my duty to lead with a positive example and to be the best role model I can be while inspiring the younger generation and my country. I want to make America proud!

11. What role can social media (ex. Facebook, Twitter, etc) play in the life of a beauty pageant titleholder?
Social media can play a great role as it gives fans a chance to support a pageant titleholder and be informed with instant information.

12. What does it mean to be a human being?
I believe that it is our duty as human beings to treat everyone equally and with respect, to be there for others in need, be yourself, and enjoy the quality of life.

13. What do you feel is your purpose in life?
I think the whole journey and meaning of life is to find your purpose. I try to be the best person I can be, keeping others in mind to help anyone that needs it along the way. There is no better feeling than making someone happy.

14. Share a message to your supporters and readers of The Times of Beauty.
I just want to thank everyone that has done so much for me including my family, friends, supporters, and the people I work with in the modeling industry. Pulse MGMT "ETHICAL" Why is it that some parents "GET IT" - Madison Quarnberg scouted by Vicki

and others NO matter what never will. Making a difference where we can one family at a time.
Thank you Laurie "for getting it"

Hi Melinda,

I just wanted to let you know that when Madison's friend (Megan Ryan) was scouted for modeling by another agency and her Mom called us asking about it - I gave her Vicki's number and they talked and worked things out from there.

The family just got back with me and said that they really liked Stacey and that she felt like he was "ethical" and they are excited about the opportunity that Megan may have with Pulse. I just wanted to pass that on because I know a lot of times..."ethical" isn't a word that is used when referring to a modeling agency.

I was glad to be able to help her and am proud to know you guys!

Laurie Quarnberg
