Pulse Management Introduces Brook Swanson

Before all of the Star Wars madness we were introducing you to some of our new faces, and we can't let another day pass without introducing you to Brook Swanson. Brook and her mom Melissa flew to New York from North Dakota for her Dolls Model Management photo shoot. Timothy Rosado worked his magic with Brook, and her photos are beautiful. Brook we are so excited to manage you (that gorgeous complexion of yours is just begging to be in a beauty campaign), and are looking forward to an exciting career ahead.

Pulse Management Introduces Hadley Krueger

Our scouts are on fire lately, because they have found us the most incredible models. The past Dolls Model Management shoot in NYC last weekend was one of the best ones we've had. Pictured here is Hadley Kreuger, who came from the midwest to meet us in New York. We had the incredible team of Timothy Rosado, Aracely Arocho, and Edwin Pierrot for her photo shoot, and the results are nothing short of impressive, especially for Hadley's first shoot.

Hadley and her mom came to New York for the weekend, and texted us after that they had an amazing weekend, and that they loved the experience of the photo shoot. We loved having them with us, and are so glad that Hadley is part of the Pulse Management team.

Pulse Management Introduces: Lilli Junge

Pulse Management president, Stacey Eastman, has been pounding the pavement in New York city the past few days doing test shoots of some of our new models. Our latest Dolls Model Management shoot occurred over the weekend, and we could not be happier with the results!

First up we'd like to introduce you all to Lilli Junge, and saying we are blown away by her photos by Timothy Rosado is an understatement. Our scouts have been finding us the best models lately, and Lilli is just one of the stunning examples. Lilli and her mom flew out to New York for the test shoot, and we are so grateful for their willingness to trust Pulse Management to develop and launch her modeling career. We think this is just the beginning of a great partnership with Lilli!

Why We Love Holly Sherman

Everyone, this is Holly Sherman, one of favorite models. We may say that a lot about our models, but with Holly we are going to tell you why we love her so much. She signed with us a little while ago after being scouted in Illinois. She did her test shoot with Dolls Model Management, and we saw that she had a lot of potential. Like many of the models we work with, Holly had a couple of things to work on before we launched her career. I won't specifically say what Holly needed to work on, but generally models need to either work on their grades (if they are still in high school they can't travel if they don't have good grades), sometimes they need to clear up their skin, or start exercising/eating better to have a healthier figure (it may seem superficial, but it is the industry we work in).

Part of our model management is the development of a model. We could have tried to launch Holly's career after her first shoot, and she might have been successful, we wouldn't have signed her if we didn't think she was someone special. We just knew that if we developed her a little bit and gave her the opportunity to work on what she needed to, she would have a much better chance in this fickle industry. Instead of being a good model right away, we wanted to have her be an incredible one after a little time preparing for her career.

So after Holly's shoot in New York, she took our advice seriously and spent months working on getting herself ready to really dive into her modeling career. We kept in contact and were impressed by Holly's dedication to her goals. Soon she was ready to travel back to New York and work with our partner Fusion Model Management.

"I'm signed with Fusion and currently building my book," said Holly. "It has been an extraordinary journey so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds."

Neither can we! Seeing Holly starting to live her dream of being a model is so rewarding because we know she worked hard to get there. That will serve her well because she will appreciate her successes more. We hope that our current and future models will see this story about Holly and realize that if/when they receive criticism they can either ignore it, or use it to make themselves better. Below one of our favorite pictures on Holly's instagram it says, "Decide. Commit. Succeed." We can't think of a better motto for our models, and we hope they can all have Holly's maturity and drive in their careers as well.

From One Model Parent to Another

Avery Thiemann photographed by Jeremy James

As a model management company there are a lot of rewards to our line of work.  Seeing our models on magazine covers and walking down runways worldwide is extremely gratifying and we love being able to help change a model's life for the better. Hands down though, the best part of managing models is the incredible people we get to meet, and the relationships that we build with them.

At our last Dolls Shoot in New York City, we met some really noteworthy young women and their family members that came with them.  We met some brothers, aunts, and a lot of moms. We get a lot of feedback that the our models and their moms (or whoever brought them) love the photoshoot not only for the modeling experience and the photos, but for the bonding experience it provides them.

The model pictured in this post is Avery Thiemann, who traveled with her mom Amber to New York from the state of Washington.  After the shoot Amber emailed us to thank us for the experience, and we thought it would be helpful for any potential models out there.  So if you're thinking about signing with Pulse please read the feedback below because it may answer some of your questions.  The second paragraph about how Avery is finally feeling comfortable and confident about herself, that alone makes everything we do worth it.  Thank you Amber for trusting us with your daughter, and for letting us share your email.

"To see you and your husband (Shayna and Stacey Eastman) work as a team, to see you as people, as parents, not just email replies. People who love their work are easy to spot. And that was wonderful about the two of you. You compliment each other so well. Getting one on one time to work with posing, posture, walks was incredible. Those are things looking at magazines or tromping thru the kitchen in stilletos can't teach you. Watching other girls and learning from their strengths or seeing their different approach was really helpful. The styling was great. Bringing a bunch of pieces, not knowing what shoots well, colors, textures was something I had no clue how to plan around. And the informational portion was by far the part that FINALLY put my mom-heart to ease. When you start looking into modeling agencies, morality isn't high on their list. It's what impressed me most about you both and Pulse Management. I understand it's a job, but you understand it's my child. She's a person. I appreciated your stands on social media, eating disorders, boyfriends, drugs, alcohol and nudity."

"Avery came out of this with a new confidence. She's 12 and has been a foot or more taller than everyone her age since she was 9. It's embarrassing as a girl to tower over a crowd of boys. She used to hunch, slouch trying to hide her height just a little. She only wore flats, never anything with a lift to it. Avery has been called stork, giraffe, awkward, gawky- every "insult" imaginable related to her size. I've always told her "someday you'll realize being tall,  thin and blond" isn't the worst thing that can happen to a girl. This opportunity has put that in perspective for her. It's been so beautiful to see her come out and embrace who she is. To feel beautiful. To walk tall, with her head up and know there's a place for her and all her glorious height. That there's an entire industry that loves and devours her size. For that alone, I can not thank you enough for giving her this chance. To put her in a room full of other girls who resemble her, who carry the same self critique and have heard all the same remarks. Thank you for opening her up to who she is."

Pulse Management Introduces: Hailey Henderson

Our scout Lacey has found us some major stars over the years, and it looks like she has found us another one in Hailey Henderson.  In the video below you can hear Hailey and her mom share how they ended up in New York City at the Dolls Model Management shoot from their hometown in San Diego.

Hailey and Amanda Henderson are every bit as fun as they seem in the video, and their mother/daughter relationship will serve them well as they embark on Hailey's modeling career.  Model moms (and sometimes dads/grandparents/older siblings etc.) are the unsung heroes for each model.  The moms usually travel all over the world and make huge sacrifices to help their child pursue a modeling career.  If what we saw in New York is any indication, Amanda is going to be a huge support for Hailey, and those two are going to have a great time no matter where Hailey's modeling ends up taking them.

In the meantime enjoy these pictures of Hailey (all by Timothy Rosado, and her makeup is by Aracely Arocho).  Hailey has a really unique and cool editorial vibe going, and we're totally digging it!  We can't wait to see who else is too!

Pulse Management Introduces: Abbey Munn

Happy Friday everyone!  This beauty is Abbey Munn, one of the models we recently had at our NYC Dolls Test Shoot.  Abbey and her mom traveled to New York City from a small town in the midwest, and we are so glad they did.

These pictures of Abbey were taken by the talented Jeremy James.  We were so impressed by the team of Jeremy and make up artist Miriam Robstad.  The two looks they shot for Abbey were different enough that you can see her versatility, but subtle enough that you still are noticing Abbey, not her hair/makeup etc. (Which is exactly what you want from a test shoot!)  This is why having our new faces do their test shoots with Dolls is so critical.  When a potential model signs up for a Dolls Shoot (with us) we know that he/she is getting artists that are established in the fashion industry and will shoot the pictures for his/her book that we need to start to get the model work.  Without the right kinds of images, we are unable to manage a model.

In the video below you can hear from Abbey and her mom, how they ended up working with Pulse and their overall impression of their shoot in New York.  We are so glad that our scout Lacey found Abbey, and we are looking forward to managing this beauty!

Pulse Management Introduces: Emma Evenhus

You guys!  Yesterday our blog traffic was huge, and we can't help but notice that it always does that when we introduce you to some of our new models.  So thank you all for your interest in our new faces, and for sharing in our excitement about them.

Today we would like to introduce you to Emma Evenhus and her mom Amy.  They both were at our recent NYC Dolls photo shoot  Emma peaked our interest right off the bat, and it's not just because she has eyebrows that would make Cara Delevingne jealous!  Emma is confident and poised beyond her years, and her pictures by Timothy Rosado are just stunning.  We are hoping to have a lot more to update you on about Emma as her career progresses, but in the meantime enjoy these photos and the video below.

Pulse Management Introduces: Jaden Stugelmayer

Recently we had a Dolls Test Shoot in New York City, and we were blown away by some of our new faces!  This week we are going to share some of our newest models with you.  Along with their shoot photos, we have short interviews with the models and their moms as well, so you can get an idea of their personalities, and how they started modeling with us.

First up we have the stunning and ethereal Jaden Stugelmayer.  Jaden (and her cheekbones) turned it on when Timothy Rosado started taking her picture.  She may seem a little bit shy when you first meet her, but when the camera starts clicking, look out, we have a future supermodel on our hands.

We are looking forward to big things from Jaden, and if she takes her modeling as seriously as she takes her gaming, she is going to have a great career ahead!

Model Testimonial: Emma Harris

We know that a lot of people who read our blog are people who are interested in beginning their modeling career, and sometimes are a little unsure about how and where to begin.  When we met Emma Harris and her parents in New York City for a Dolls Test Shoot, we had to shoot a video of them because we thought that their perspective and point of view would be helpful for other potential models (and their parents!).

You may remember Emma from our previous posts, and how she was scouted by us twice!  What you may not know about her, that you see in the video, is that she has protective parents (like so many of you do!).  We see so many models with protective parents, and as parents ourselves, we totally understand where they are coming from!  The modeling industry is intimidating and is notoriously wrought with scams and scandals, so when we see skeptical parents we aren't the least bit surprised or phased.  We actually posted this to help people more efficiently research us (and any other companies) online.

What we love about Emma, her parents, and so many other of our models' parents, is that despite their initial worries or hesitations, they do their research and then trust what they see from our actual working models and their parents' testimonials.  It is completely normal to be intimidated or a little afraid before embarking on a new journey like modeling, but our models that have found success are the ones who take the first steps anyway.  They decide trust us to lead them in their careers.

Emma's dad is a detective.  Seriously, he does detective work for his profession, and he found us suitable for his daughter's model management.  So please watch the video and hear from the Harris' in their own words, why they decided to work with Pulse Management.  We would like to thank the Harris family for agreeing to do this testimonial, and for being so awesome! As you see in the video they are fun to have around, and we are so excited to have a working relationship with them, as well as a friendship.

Pulse Management Introduces: Sarah Linnabary

When you look at the above picture you would be hard-pressed to guess the model's age.  Sarah Linnabary, one of our new faces from Texas is only 12 years old, which you can tell more when you watch the video of her and her parents below.  In general we work with models a little bit older, and according to some state laws models can't work until they are 16, but we didn't want to miss out on any time with Sarah.  We are starting her now and developing her slowly, so by the time she is 16 she will be a seasoned pro.

In the video with her parents below, we appreciated their honesty talking about how initially they were skeptical about getting Sarah started in modeling and working with us.  As a parent I totally understand their reservations, and I would probably feel the same way.  What I respect about the Linnabarys is they still held a meeting with Stacey Eastman to learn more about Pulse Management, and then they did their own research about him and the company as well.  We actually wrote a blog post about researching Pulse Management and how to tell if a source is credible or not, you can check it out HERE.

We are thrilled with how well Sarah's pictures with Timothy Rosado from her Dolls shoot turned out, and it may take awhile to get things going because of her age, but the sky is the limit with this beautiful model.  We are looking forward to managing her future career!
