Armon Featured on MODELS.COM
Well this is sure shaping up to be a great day! Pulse Management's, Armon Eastman, is featured on Models.com as 1/2 of today's Daily Duo. The Daily Duo is in their New Faces section and it puts the spotlight on up and coming models. To say that we are excited that Armon is being featured is an understatement, a MAJOR understatement. Our favorite part of the feature on Armon is this sentence:
"All American boy Armon grew up on the West Coast but has a look that defies boundaries."
We couldn't agree with the writer more, and the rest of the article is just as complimentary. This isn't the first time we have had a model featured in the daily duo, Liz Kennedy, was featured recently and we posted about it here. Congrats Armon, this is a HUGE accomplishment!

Armon for Montagut Magazine
We have been getting photos back from Armon Eastman's summer in Paris, and each time we are like little kids on Christmas morning opening the files. The latest photos we received are from the French clothing store Montagut's upcoming look book. The look book with Armon's pictures is not posted on the Montagut site just yet, and seeing these pictures but not the whole book is killing us. It seems that during his time in Paris, Armon mastered the Parisian talent of looking effortlessly cool. We'll consider that time well spent.

Armon in Tinsel Tokyo Editorial
I don't know how the weather is where you guys are, but where I live in Southern California we are in the midst of a heat wave. This fall fashion editorial is making me crave fall even more than I already was! Armon Eastman looks as handsome as ever in these tear sheets from Tinsel Tokyo magazine shot by Rodney Ray (one of our favorite fashion photographers). Armon's time in Paris served him well, the shoots we've seen from him in Paris and his time since then are some of the best work we've seen from a male model in a long time.
I have to say that Tinsel Tokyo is quickly becoming one of my favorite magazines each month, and its not just because they regularly feature our models. Their art direction, photoshoots, and over all layouts are so creative and beautiful, I look forward to seeing what they do next.

Armon's Gearing Up for Paris Fashion Week
Buckle up everyone because today marks the kickoff of the beginning of New York Fashion Week. Click here to see the post we did about Fashion Week and the schedules for the various ones coming up this month. Basically it should be called Fashion Month, because September is when fashion's elite travel all over the world to see what the top designers have created. It is an exciting and sometimes exhausting time for all involved. We have these models in New York ready for the shows, and we can't wait to report back to you what they have been cast in.
Now, onto Armon! These pictures are the front and back sides of Armon's Paris Fashion Week card, and we LOVE it. The front shows Armon the amazing model, and the backside shows all the rest of the hilarious sides of Armon's personality. While in Paris, Armon is signed with our Partner City Model Management. It won't be very long until we can post about what he's up to for Paris Fashion Week, so stay tuned everyone!

Carson and Armon for Tinsel Tokyo
We are so excited for the fall issue of Tinsel Tokyo Magazine to come out. Not one, but two (!) of our models will be featured in a fall fashion editorial. Carson Bruner and Armon Eastman sent us these pics from their shoot a week ago with Rodney Ray, and we have to say they leave us wanting to see the whole editorial. Now the wait until the issue comes out is going to be torture. In our humble opinion, you can't go wrong shooting two beautiful people in beautiful clothing, especially when it these two. It looks like their summer modeling in Paris only made this dynamic duo even better!

Throwback Thursday: Guess Who?
For today's Throwback Thursday, we are not only keeping it in the Pulse Management family, we are keeping it in the Eastman family. That cute little guy at the front of the picture is the one and only Armon Eastman! Armon recently returned from a working in Paris, alongside another Pulse model, Carson Bruner. He has been in pretty high demand since we signed him, making his dad Stacey Eastman (Pulse Mgmt President) proud! Also pictured above is Alec Eastman, one of the six Eastman siblings. Alec is currently in the Bio Chemical Engineering Program at the University of Michigan, which makes his dad just as proud!
If you are currently a Pulse Model and want to be one of our Throwback Thursday posts, please email your childhood picture to lisa@pulsemgmt.com.

Armon in Paris
We have been so busy keeping up with Stacey Eastman's adventures in New York, we need to take a minute to update you on the other Eastman making waves in the fashion industry. Armon Eastman is currently in Paris, and we can't get enough of these photos of him. Famed French photographer Anthony Arquier took these as a test shoot, and we think they are incredible. Keep up the good work Armon, we have a feeling these won't be the last of the amazing pictures we see out of your Paris trip.

How Do You Say "Lucky" in French?
One of the major perks of working in the modeling industry is being able to introduce our models to places, people and cultures that they may not otherwise be exposed to. Two of our favorite models, Carson Bruner and Armon Eastman jetted off to Paris this week and we are loving seeing their pictures. Pulse Mgmt President (and Armon's Dad), Stacey Eastman, accompanied these two on their trip. Carson and Armon will be busy working while in France, but it is fun to see these pictures of them, just being teenagers in one of the world's most amazing cities. Keep posting pictures you guys, we love seeing them!

Bon Voyage!
The internet is abuzz with the news of the Kardashians taking over Paris, but we are far more interested in a different kind of Parisian take over. We are talking a fashion take over from these two, Armon Eastman and Carson Bruner. Both take off soon for Paris and we are anxiously awaiting to see what work they book and even more anxious to see the stunning images from their French shoots. I mean, look at these two! I don't know if either one of them has ever taken a bad photo. Don't worry everyone, we will keep you posted so you can keep up with Armon and Carson.

Armon in No. 3 Magazine Editiorial
Man oh man, Armon Eastman is one good looking guy. Sometimes we forget that he is still just starting in the modeling industry, because when you look at pictures like this, he looks like a seasoned veteran. These pictures are from an editorial he recently did for New York-based No. 3 Magazine. We can't wait to share with you guys where he is headed next. Here's a hint, it is one of (if not THE) top fashion cities in the world.

Armon for Dita Eyewear
Remember when we did THIS behind the scenes post of Pulse Mgmt model, Armon Eastman? The images are in for his shoot with Dita Eyewear and they turned out even better than we were expecting (and after seeing such cool behind the scenes shots, our expectations were high!). Armon was in these on his last trip to LA, and we couldn't be more proud of him, this advertising campaign is killer.

Look Who Got Bit by the Acting Bug
Pulse Management's Armon Eastman is adding to his resume and is starting his acting career. Don't worry fashion world, he is still very invested in his modeling career, but he's just hoping to join the ranks of the other successful model/actors in Hollywood. As usual, don't worry we will keep you posted on all of his exciting happenings!

Armon Eastman for Dita Eyewear
Check out Armon Eastman looking the perfect amount of retro in these behind the scenes pics from the new Dita Eyewear campaign. I browsed through their current collection, and there are quite a few pairs of sunglasses that I "need" ASAP. Judging from Armon's instagram, he had a great time at the Hollywood shoot, and judging from what we are seeing this campaign is going to be killer. Congrats Armon, you wear Dita well, and we can't wait to see the final images!

The Reality of Being a Model
This week Pulse Management's Armon Eastman had a taste of disappointment that all models face at one point or another. As you may have read on our blog (or other social media), Armon is beginning his modeling career and has already had some amazing experiences. From test shoots in LA and New York, to meeting with one of the best fashion photographers (Steven Meisel), to being placed on option for Prada and Burberry, Armon's career took off faster than a lot of models. Armon was recently informed that he was released from being on option from Burberry and Prada. Obviously that is not what any model wants to hear, but we thought we would take this moment to have some honest dialogue about what it is like working as a model.
The fashion industry is a mercurial one, and any model will tell you they have had their fair share of disappointments along with their successes. The very fact that Armon was placed on option for two of the biggest designers on the planet, speaks volumes about his potential as a model. The fact that he was released on option does not mean that he did anything wrong or that there is anything wrong with him. I REPEAT THIS TO ALL MODELS, just because you do not book a job does not mean you are ugly or a bad model, or not good enough. It means the companies had something else in mind for their project, and a lot of the time the reasons are beyond your control. In Armon's case it was because he is too young. Other times it is because a model is too tall, too short, too blonde, not blonde enough, teeth too straight, or not straight enough, the reasons are endless.
Pulse Management President, Stacey Eastman, is not only Armon's manager, he is Armon's father. This has given us a unique perspective into how this business can affect our models. Stacey said the following about this situation:
"I feel I need to post this due to my son being released on option for Burberry & Prada. Due to all the excitement we had about him being placed on those options, we posted about those on our social media. To put it into perspective, in our world option means that those prestigious clothing companies PICKED him out of thousands of guys and chose to put him on "option" to walk wearing their clothing. Which is why we said "option" MIND YOU IT USUALLY NEVER HAPPENS THAT FAST FOR A NEW MODEL. We use that to gauge the potential of their carrier and that is massive. He was released from the "OPTION" only due to being so "NEW" so "YOUNG" even though we feel bad it didn't confirm at the last second is sad. None the less it's miraculous such designers wanted him exclusively till the very last second and then released him. For sure this tells us ITS NOT IF THIS KID'S GOING TO WORK, BUT WHEN AND WE KNOW HIS SUCCESS WILL BE BIG! So to friends, family, fans, it's a tuff blow. A lesson every successful model has had to learn to reach the top. Fact is, he even had the lesson to learn so big so fast, speaks volumes of his potential. Times on his and our side. Please cut the kid some slack and his very proud father and manager as we continue building his and all of our other amazing models' careers. ALL THE TIME FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE FUTURE ROCK STARS OF TOMORROW!!
Thank you,
His dad and Manager Stacey Eastman. "
We would like to hope that this post will help you all see what it is really like being a model. You get to travel to amazing places and see yourself in magazines and get to wear clothing that most people only dream about. It also can be really humbling, and heartbreaking and you have to learn really fast that your self-worth does not depend on what others think of you. Unfortunately in life there are people who enjoy seeing other people not succeed. Whether it is kids at our models' schools or comments on the internet, we hope that our model's realize that those people are not the people they need to impress. People's comments and negativity is a reflection on them, NOT YOU.
We love all of our models, and know that everything worth having has to be worked for. We are here to help you navigate the ups and downs of being a model. We are just as proud of you for how you deal with your rejections as for your successes.

Test Results are in for Armon
In the modeling industry a phrase you will often hear is "test shoot". Test shoots are exactly what they sound like, either agencies, potential clients, photographers, etc. want to test out a model to see how they shoot. Sometimes someone is amazing looking in person, but when you see their film it is underwhelming. Other times you can be on the fence about a model, and then when you get their test images back, they can be amazing. That is why we test shoot, because you never know until you see a model's film.
Armon Eastman, had a number of test shoots in NYC recently for clients interested in him for the upcoming men's runway and print seasons. These pictures speak for themselves. Needless to say these pictures are making Armon quite the sought after prospect for the upcoming season. I can't name specific clients that are interested at the moment, but I will as soon as I'm at liberty to do so. Basically think about some of the biggest menswear designers in fashion, and Armon is on their shortlist.
Don't you worry, dear blog readers, as Armon books the jobs we will keep you posted. He is going big, and it is all happening very fast. We love it.

Big Things Ahead for Armon
Pulse Management's Armon Eastman, son of Owner Stacey Eastman, continues to exceed even his dad's expectations. He leaves for Europe in a little more than a week to meet with Burberry in London, and then Prada in Milan. Those are huge companies to meet with for any model, but for a male model just starting his career, this is quite a feat! Wishing you lots of luck Armon, and we can't wait to see how your trip goes.
