TBT: Nichole Martinez, Then and Now

It's been a while since our last Throwback Thursday post, and I don't know about you but I've missed them.  There is something about the nostalgia combined with the instant gratification of seeing how far a model has come that I love.  For instance the above picture of Nichole Martinez is from her first photo shoot with us.  Back in 2011 our scout Lacey found Nichole in Colorado, and then Nichole had a test shoot and from it we made her first comp card.  Below you can see Nichole's comp card from the most recent NYFW, last February.  Since last summer Nichole has been featured on Models.com, and twice in WWD.  We are looking forward to seeing what else Nichole accomplishes during her career, and we will continue to keep you posted on this beauty.

TBT: Polaroids of Sophia Skloss

It has been a while since we posted our last Throwback Thursday, and we think the time has come for a new one.  These are our model Sophia Skloss' polaroids from right around when we scouted her. If you have been reading our blog for awhile you know how important polaroids are, but if you haven't please click here.  These polaroids of Sophia are perfect, they showcase her, not her wardrobe and hair and makeup.  These combined with a killer book are what helped us land Sophia her exclusive booking with Burberry.  To see what else Sophia has been up to since taking these polaroids, check out this link.

Throwback Thursday: Then and Now

It may be a little late, but for today's Throwback Thursday we are featuring one of our best Utah discoveries, Amanda Chamberlain.  We found Amanda in her homestate, and then launched her career off of the above polaroids and a killer test shoot.  Since we started Amanda's career she has worked in New York, Miami, Paris, Italy and various places in Asia.  Amanda has walked runways and graced the pages of some of fashion's finest outlets.  It's amazing how many places modeling can take a person, and we are glad to be a part of the journey!

Throwback Thursday: Then and Now

For today's Throwback Thursday you are looking at one of Alisha Judge's first set of polaroids.  Alisha signed with us, and since then she has worked extensively in New York, and walked runways around the world.  During NYFW she is one of our models that is in the highest demand, and she walks for some of the biggest designers of the season.  During September's NYFW she was cast in 9 fashion shows/presentations, cementing her status as one of our busiest models.  We can't wait to see what she books this year, because this girl is unstoppable!

Throwback Thursday: Then and Now

For today's Throwback Thursday, we are looking at a set of digital polaroids that we received of Emma Landen.  These pictures were taken and sent to us in 2011, when we first discovered Emma.  Since our scout found Emma in her native Colorado, Emma has gone on to do some amazing work.  Most notably she shot THIS CAMPAIGN for Dior.  We love seeing the comparisons of a model's first polaroids to some of her work, and Emma's are no exception.  We knew just from these images that Emma had all of the potential in the world as a model.  

TBT: Birthday Edition!

Happy Happy (late) birthday to Armon Eastman!  Above is a compilation of some of the first polaroids taken of him when he started modeling.  Since taking those pictures he has traveled to LA, New York, Paris and more, and he somehow has been getting even more handsome.  Check out the pictures below that show some of his more recent work.  Armon, we hope that you had a great birthday, and that this year is a good one for you.  You are oozing with potential and we are looking forward to see what your future has in store.

Then and Now: Meagan Lee

With Christmas and New Years Day both falling on Thursdays, it has been a couple of weeks since we posted a TBT: Then and Now. It is fun to write these posts and see our models when they first started and remember what they were like when we met them.  Its like seeing their career unfold right in front of our eyes, again! Meagan Lee is a hot commodity in Los Angeles, New York and Miami these days, and you can see why.  Usually a model that is successful in Miami, is not in New York and vice versa, because the markets are so different.  Meagan is very unique in the fact that she works in both markets, because she is versatile enough to fit both looks.  We are looking forward to seeing what is up next for Meagan, because with her it really could be anything or anywhere!

Throwback Thursday: Then and Now

Above you see a picture from Hye Rim Park's first test shoot she did with us.  This shoot took place soon after we discovered her in Utah, and then started to build her career.  It took a while for the industry to embrace Hye, there were not a lot of Asian top models at the time.  In fact after she started booking jobs she told Teen Vogue, “There aren‘t many Asian models, so I felt really proud to walk for such a high-profile designer like Miuccia Prada.”

We weren't dissuaded by the fact that there were not a lot of Asian model success stories before Hye, because we knew she had potential and we worked and worked until other people started realizing that as well. Hye has booked some incredible campaigns, walked the highest level of high fashion runways, and she has appeared on multiple covers of Vogue.  She also ushered in a movement of top models who are Asian, and we are proud so proud that we had a part of that.  So reflecting on her career and how far she has come since her first test shoot is especially poignant to us. Throwback Thursday: Then and Now

For today's Throwback Thursday, we are featuring one of our favorite models, Rachel Cook.  Above are some of Rachel's first polaroids with us, taken five years ago.  We found Rachel in her home state of Washington and she has worked around the world since then.  Some of her career highlights up to this point include being on the cover of WWD, working in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and a few different places in Asia.  She has worked with some top photographers, and made a niche for herself in beauty campaigns for companies like Lorac.  It's been a busy few years for this model, and we are so proud of her.  We can't wait to see what else she has in store, because her work just keeps getting better!
