Utah Model is a Top-Five Finalist in the National Essence "It Girl" Competition. VOTE FOR AMANDA STORCH GO HERE
Amanda already a model with Pulse Management, traveled to Los Angeles for the "It Girl" competition's audition. She was viewed by a panel of judges made up of celebrities, magazine editors, and modeling industry insiders.
"I sent Amanda to Los Angeles for the audition because they were not looking in Utah for the next hottest African-American supermodel,"says Stacey Eastman, President of Pulse Management. "They should have been!"
After the Los Angeles audition, Amanda was notified she made it to the top five and went to New York to film the webisodes and continue the competition.
"I was kind of scared to go, but also really happy because I knew it would really help my career," Amanda says. "I had so much fun in New York with the other finalists, they are all so nice and I miss them already."
The winner of the contest will be featured in the September 2010 Fall Fashion issue of Essence Magazine and a one-year contract with Elite Model Management.
"Winning the competition would be amazing," says Amanda. "I have had some hard times, so it would definitely help me make my life better."
The winner is selected by a combination of an online vote (25%) and the judges' scores (75%). Eastman thinks Amanda definitely has what it takes to win and to succeed in the world of modeling.
"Amanda has an amazing personality, and the longest legs! Quite literally she is one of the best girls Pulse Management has launched to date," says Eastman. "She really is the whole package."
The webisodes will be shown on http://www.essence.com/it_girl/ starting on May 5, 2010.
Salt Lake City, Utah (May 4, 2010)---Amanda Storch, a 15 year old who attends Cottonwood High School, has made it to the top five in the Essence Magazine "It Girl"competition. Out of thousands of entries, Amanda made it to the top tier and was flown to New York to participate in a modeling boot camp, which was filmed for a series of "Making of an It Girl" webisodes.
