MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hazel Eakman for Kenneth Ning

Hazel Eakman had quite a week last week during NYFWM 2016. We posted on Friday about her in the Cadet show, and today we have the photos from when she was in the Kenneth Ning show. First of all the hair and makeup could not be more perfect. In fact, Janice Marino (the makeup artist who worked on Hazel for the show) might have don't the most perfect smokey, but not too smokey, eye that I have seen in a long time. Of course the look probably wouldn't look nearly as good on anyone but our stunning Hazel, but that's beside the point. This show was for New York Fashion Week Men, but we think our girl Hazel stole the show!

New York Fashion Week: Men's Fall/Winter 16/17 is going on, and our model Hazel Eakman has been busy! She walked in the show for Cadet, who was a CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist last year, so designers don't get more up-and-coming than that. Judging from these photos Hazel held her own among the men on the runway. Walking any runway is can be intimidating, let along walking one during NYFWM. Great work Hazel, we are so proud of you!

Stacey's Red Carpet Interview at the Inside Amato Premiere

While we were in New York for Fashion Week in September, we were invited to attend the premiere of Rocco Leo Gaglioti's film Inside Amato by Furne One. (In case you missed it we posted about our night at the premiere here) Stacey was interviewed on the red carpet, and in the above compilation of the red carpet interviews you can see our Stacey starting at 0:13. Way to represent Pulse Stacey, and we think you should be interviewed on Red Carpets more often!

NYFW is Coming Up!

Now that January is here it means that New York Fashion Week is just around the corner. (Official dates are February 11-18) A new year, a new fashion season, and we will have some new models in New York this year. We are also looking forward to seeing which shows our more experienced models book now that they have had a few seasons to develop their skills. 

The above photo is from last February when our model Alisha Judge OPENED the Jenny Packham show. Jenny Packham is one of the best designers out of the UK in a while, and her popularity skyrocketed when the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton herself, started to wear Packham's designs regularly. Having Alisha open such a big show was one of our fashion week highlights last year, and we can't wait to see what this February has in store for us. Our New Star is Stacey!

You all have seen our posts about our models, but it looks like Pulse Management President, Stacey Eastman, is one of our newest superstars!  These pictures are from when he attended the premiere of Inside Amato by Furne One, during fashion week.  We posted about the premiere here, just in case you missed it.  Now we have to get our hands on the video of Stacey's red carpet interview, and you better believe when we do we will post it for you all to see.

We were honored to attend the premiere and support Fashion News Live's Rocco Leo Gaglioti as he screened his film.  We are continually impressed by the red carpet and backstage coverage that Fashion News Live produces, and if you haven't seen it make sure to check it out here.

NYFW: Sophia Skloss' Whirlwind Week

Our model Sophia Skloss is currently in Milan walking the runways for Milan Fashion Week, but we have to catch you all up on the rest of the shows she walked in for NYFW.  When we met up with Sophia and her mom, she was telling us about finishing one show, and the running through the city to make it on time to the next show, and as you scan through these pictures you can see why she had such a crazy pace.  Sophia was not only walking in a lot of fashion shows, she was walking in some of the biggest shows of the entire season!  Sophia, we can barely keep up with just writing about you, and that makes us so proud!  Keep up the good work in Europe, we will be posting about all of your London shows next week, followed by your bookings in Milan. MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Sophia Skloss for Delpozo

Last week while some of the Pulse Management crew was in New York City for Fashion Week, we  had the pleasure to watch our model Sophia Skloss in the Delpozo Spring 2016 Ready-to-wear show. We went to dinner with Sophia and her mom Karin, the night before the show and she was telling us all about how chaotic fashion week had been, but also about how much she was loving it.

It was such a treat getting to watch Sophia walk the runway, especially at a show as beautiful as this one.  One of the things I loved the most about watching this particular show, is that the hair and makeup wasn't over the top, it just allowed the models to look like themselves.  (My front row seat (!!!) also helped me see all of the details of the clothing, bags, and shoes that may have been harder to catch by viewing the pictures online later)

While we were waiting for the show to start we had the opportunity to chat with Sophia's mom, and I have to say how impressed I was with both her and Sophia.  She mentioned that as parents, she and Sophia's dad prioritize Sophia's education and her grades.  When she wanted to go to this NYFW, her dad said she would only be able to go if her grades were at a certain level. So Sophia worked hard and got her grades where they needed to be so she would be able to walk in the shows.  Sometimes being a model looks glamorous (which it can be), but there is also a lot of work that goes into it, including keeping up with your school work, and it shows a lot about Sophia that she is willing to put in the work so she can continue with her career.

Sophia is currently in London walking the runways for London Fashion week, and we will keep you updated on all of her exciting bookings there. In the meantime enjoy these photos and videos that will give you a behind the scenes and up close look at this amazingly beautiful fashion show.

Fashion News Live Interview and Inside Amato Premiere

Last night some members of the Pulse Management team were able to attend the New York City premiere of the movie Inside Amato by Furne One, and the Art Hearts Fashion Week Gala after it.  If you remember we, we partnered with Fashion News Live for fashion week coverage, and hopefully you have been checking out their videos here.

Fashion News Live founder, Rocco Leo Gaglioti, directed the film and we loved being able to see his passion for the industry come through on the screen.  Stacey was invited to do an interview on the red carpet, and as soon as we get the footage we will post it for you all to see.

We spend so much time working on managing and finding out models, it was such a treat to go out for a night with some of our Pulse Management team members, who at this point are pretty much family!

NYFW: Sophia Skloss for Rodarte

Our model Sophia Skloss is having an incredible week.  Yesterday she walked the runway at the Rodarte Spring 2016 show, which over the past decade has turned into one of the most anticipated runways of the season.  We had the pleasure of having dinner with Sophia and her mom Karin tonight, and hearing her tell all of us about her castings, and racing from one runway to the next.  She mentioned that at this show Anna Wintour came up to her to inspect her Rodarte ensemble.  We couldn't get over the fact that this High School student that we discovered in Oregon, was sitting across from us telling us about walking the runways and being inspected by Anna Wintour herself!  Sophia is really coming into her own as a model and a young adult, and we are so proud of her. 

We have a lot more to update you about NYFW, but we will have to save that for another day because we have to go try to catch Sophia's next show!

NYFW: Demarchalier Exhibit Draws Top Models

A couple of days ago, Christie's (the famous Auction house) hosted a party to preview photographer Patrick Demarchalier's new exhibit.  The fete drew a crowd that can be described as A-list without any hyperbole.  When you have Demarchalier himself, along with Grace Coddington, Tonne Goodman, Coco Rocha, Martha Hunt, and not one but TWO Pulse models in the room, it is a HUGE deal.  To prove that we aren't the only ones who think this is noteworthy, you can check out Vogue's write up of the party here.

Pulse Management discovered both Hannah Holman and Tori Praver in their respective hometowns, and then launched their careers, and took them out of obscurity onto their own covers of Vogue.  To see them celebrating a photographer like Demarchalier with their peers is awesome to us, because it just shows how far they have come since we found them. Major Moment Monday: Sophia Skloss for Yigal Azrouel

Happy Monday everyone!  Fresh of off the NYFW catwalk is a pic of our model Sophia Skloss, stomping for the Yigal Azrouel Spring 2016 RTW show.  Sophia looks fresh-faced in the best way, and we love the look of that dress with her willowy frame. Pulse Management models are no stranger to the Yigal Azrouel, last February our model Liz Kennedy walked in their show.  We posted about it here, just in case you missed it.

Congrats on another great show Sophia, we can't wait to see what else Fashion Week has in store for you!

Pulse Management and Fashion News Live

Happy Fashion Week everyone! As of today Fashion Week has officially started (although if you've been reading our blog this week it has been off to a great start for us since Tuesday!).  We couldn't be more excited to announce our partnership with Fashion News Live this NYFW.  If you aren't familiar with Fashion News Live, check out the video above and you will see host Rocco Leo Gaglioti doing what he does best, interviewing fashion's elite.  He will be backstage at many of the shows during fashion week, and bringing you the news from places most people do not have access to so you don't want to miss it.



Keep an eye out for our Pulse Models in some of his videos, especially next week when FNL is hosting a screening of the movie Inside Amato by Furne One. Ashland Wendlandt Picked as a Fresh Face for Fashion Week

Fashion Week doesn't technically start until tomorrow but it is already off to an insanely good start for us!  Stefanie Stein, one of the most respected casting directors in the fashion industry, just released her list of the "Next Rising Star Models" for this season, for The Impression.  Out of all of the aspiring models in New York for NYFW, Stein picked the top 33, and our model Ashland Wendlandt is included in the list!  If anyone can pick out the potential supermodels out of all of the new faces this season, it is Stefanie Stein, and the fact that she named Ashland in this small group is absolutely amazing.  This is such a huge feat for Ashland, and we can't wait to see what Fashion Week has in store for her.

Walking two runways for Dior has definitely put Ashland on an incredible path to success, and we love seeing the industry recognize the potential in Ashland that we saw when we scouted her.  She is working with our New York partner, Fusion Model Management, and we know that they are going to make an incredible team!  This is going to be a great NYFW, and we can't wait to keep you updated on all of the excitement.

NYFW: Sophia Skloss for Zac by Zac Posen

Zac Posen's diffusion line Zac by Zac Posen kicked off fashion week today, being touted as the first major designer's show of fashion week.  Our model Sophia Skloss walked down the runway with models like Coco Rocha, and we are so pleased!  Sophia got a taste of fashion week in February when she walked the Burberry runway in London, and now she's set to take the city of New York by storm.  We can't wait to bring you a lot more updates as Fashion Week kicks into high gear.  We have a couple of exciting announcements for you all, but we'll save that for another day. Today we're all about celebrating our girl Sophia's walk down the runway!

Major Moment Monday: Liz Kennedy for Delpozo NYFW

I can't believe that Fashion Week is exactly one month away now!  We are anxiously waiting for New York Fashion Week to kick off because we think it is going to be even more successful for our models this season than it was in February, and February was our best season to date.  There are still pictures from shows that our models walked in that we are just now seeing for the first time.  For example, this image of Liz Kennedy walking in the Delpozo Fall 2015 Ready to Wear show, we are just now posting about.  This was a big show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York in February, and we can see why Liz was cast in it.  She looks stunning walking down the runway, and we are always so proud to see her in any show!  

Liz, Olivia, and a Whole Lot of Awesome

This picture of Liz Kennedy and Olivia Hamilton is like the gift that keeps on giving.  First we liked it because it is a great backstage photo of when these two walked in the Dennis Basso show during February's NYFW.  The when we saw Liz's instagram caption with it, that she missed her best friend, it made us so happy!  We love when our models are friends with each other, and when they can support each other's successes shows not only true friendship, but also maturity on their part.  

Then we saw that Liz wrote that Cece Drake (actress Vanessa Shaw's character from Pretty Little Liars) is in the background of this pic, it just made the picture that much better.  If anyone here watches Pretty Little Liars, you know what a cult following it has.

Just when we thought we have uncovered all of the awesome layers in this picture, we looked in the comments of Liz's post, and guess who commented? Dennis Basso, the designer of the fashion show! So not only do we love this picture of our beautiful besties, the designer of the show that they walked in together also liked the picture.  It doesn't get much cooler than that! 

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Liz Kennedy for KTZ

During February's NYFW, the famous (or infamous) designer Marjan Pejoski of KTZ made his debut.  KTZ has been showing at London Fashion Week previously, but this year he decided to show in New York.  Pulse Management model Liz Kennedy walked in the show, and I have to say her look is one of the most memorable from the show.  We are getting excited for fashion week in September, it will be upon us before we know it.  We have a group of models that we are readying for NYFW this fall, and we think it is going to be our biggest fashion week yet!

NYFW: Liz Kennedy for Kye

During New York Fashion Week in February, our model, Liz Kennedy was a busy lady.  You can see some of the previous posts we did about Liz's fashion week here, here, here, and here.  There's more too, so to catch up on all things Liz, just click here.  Liz walked in the Kye show, and she even sent us a behind the scenes selfie.  We love when our models do that, because it shows us that even though they are walking the world's biggest runways, they are still just regular teenagers at heart.  February fashion week was huge for Liz, and get ready everyone because September fashion week will be even bigger for this beauty.
