Ashland Wendlandt Picked as a Fresh Face for Fashion Week

Fashion Week doesn't technically start until tomorrow but it is already off to an insanely good start for us!  Stefanie Stein, one of the most respected casting directors in the fashion industry, just released her list of the "Next Rising Star Models" for this season, for The Impression.  Out of all of the aspiring models in New York for NYFW, Stein picked the top 33, and our model Ashland Wendlandt is included in the list!  If anyone can pick out the potential supermodels out of all of the new faces this season, it is Stefanie Stein, and the fact that she named Ashland in this small group is absolutely amazing.  This is such a huge feat for Ashland, and we can't wait to see what Fashion Week has in store for her.

Walking two runways for Dior has definitely put Ashland on an incredible path to success, and we love seeing the industry recognize the potential in Ashland that we saw when we scouted her.  She is working with our New York partner, Fusion Model Management, and we know that they are going to make an incredible team!  This is going to be a great NYFW, and we can't wait to keep you updated on all of the excitement.

Ashland Wendlandt now has her own profile on models.com! As we have mentioned previously, having a profile on models.com is a major milestone in any model's career because you have to be selected to be included amongst the other top tier of working high fashion models. We think that Ashland's recent work for Dior (as we chronicled HERE, HERE, and HERE) are more than enough to get her a profile on Models.com, and we're glad that we aren't the only ones!  You can see Ashland's profile HERE.  Congrats Ashland, we can't wait to help you start filling up that page with jobs!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Ashland in the Dior Haute Couture Show

Last week we posted a teaser of when our girl, Ashland Wendlandt, walked in the Dior Haute Couture show, but now we have more pictures and details for all of you.  The Haute Couture shows in Paris are as high fashion as they come, and this Dior Fall 2015 Couture show did not disappoint.  It was held at the Musee Rodin, and many of the most important people in fashion were sitting front row. I can't emphasize enough what a big deal this show was!

You may remember that a few weeks ago Ashland walked in the Dior Tokyo show, and she made such an impression that she was then cast (Exclusive) in this Couture show in Paris.  Not bad for a model that we discovered in Wisconsin!  We love the backstage pictures that her mom sent us, it is always a treat to see somethings that most people aren't privy to.

Ashland, you are amazing and we are so proud of you!

Bon Voyage Ashland and Jen!

Hopefully you all remember Ashland Wendlandt, our model from Wisconsin.  Since we discovered her and launched her career she has traveled to Los Angeles, New York (multiple times), Japan, and now she is in Paris where she walked in a show for Dior! (We'll update you more about that soon) Ashland's awesome mom Jen (who is also a scout for Pulse Mgmt), has been by her side for all of these trips.  Ashland is so lucky to have not only a management team that is looking out for her best interest,e but a mother who is willing to put her own life on hold to help her daughter pursue her dreams.  Granted they are both traveling to some incredible places, but it is not without some sacrifices (including missing her son's High School Graduation).  We are so grateful not only for the parents of our models trusting us with their son/daughter's careers, but for the things they willingly give up in order to support their children.

We are hoping you saw our post yesterday about our model Ashland Wendlandt walking in the Dior show in Tokyo.  We have a couple new pictures for you that we had to share.  Also, news stories about the show were popping up everywhere yesterday.  The fact that Rihanna was in attendance and it was her first event as the guest of honor was particularly noteworthy.  Check out this story from WWD, and this one from Style.com (two of the biggest publications in fashion). This show is hopefully going to lead to some big things for Ashland, and as soon as we can share details with you, you better believe we will.

Yesterday our model Ashland had quite an exciting day.  She walked in the Dior show in Tokyo, which any fashion lover will know is huge.  There aren't many fashion brands as iconic as Dior, and Ashland now has walking down their runway under her belt. After the show Ashland got the pleasure to meet Rihanna, who is currently starring in a Dior campaign. Ashland who we discovered at a concert, went from being a normal Wisconsin teenager to walking the runway in Japan and hanging out with Rihanna.  We are so proud of you Ashland, and we know there are exciting things ahead for you.  This is just the beginning!

Let's Get Lost with Ashland in Tokyo

Last week we posted THIS with behind the scenes pictures from one of Ashland Wendlandt's photo shoots in Tokyo.  Now we have the video that accompanies the pictures and it is in a word, beautiful.  From Ashland's various looks, to the Tokyo background, to the crooning of Chet Baker, this short film of Ashland is one of the better fashion videos we've seen in awhile.  Kozumi did a fantastic job with the direction.  We can't wait to see what else Ashland has been up to in Tokyo!

We posted last week about Ashland and Jen Wendlandt's arrival in Tokyo.  We are pleased to report that she booked her first shoot, and judging from these behind the scenes pics, it's going to be killer.  It is always fun to be able to look at pictures from the day of the shoot and then later compare them to the photos that they choose for the editorial. Don't worry as soon as the actual pictures from this shoot are published we will share them with you!  Keep up the good work Ashland, and enjoy Japan! 

And She's Off!

Ashland Wendlandt, one of our newer models, just started her journey in Japan.  We sent her there on a contract that will both help her build her book, and gain a lot of experience in front of the camera.  Her mom, Jen, is along for the adventure.  We are looking forward to seeing a lot more pictures of Ashland's time in Tokyo, and we will keep you updated on her modeling out there.

Yesterday we posted about test shoots, and the importance of them.  While that is fresh in your memory, here are some of Ashland Wendlandt's latest pics.  She recently had a shoot with fashion photographer Alejandro Poveda in New York City.  These pictures are a little bit more character-driven of Ashland, and it is fun to see her fun personality peeking through in some of these.

Happy (belated) birthday to Ashland Wendlandt!  Ashland is one of our new faces, and we have quickly come to love this model.  Check out these videos and posts and you'll see why.  Ashland has all the potential in the world and we are excited to manage and develop her career.  Next stop for this blonde beauty is a contract in Tokyo, and we can't wait to see the pictures from her work in Japan!

Update on Ashland

Last week we posted THIS about Ashland Wendlandt's time in New York.  We just received these pictures in the mail, and we had to share them with you.  We love how Ashland embodies an all-American beauty in these images.  This test shoot is one of the many things Ashland has been busy with while in NYC.  You may remember we posted THIS video of Ashland and her mom, not very long ago. It looks like things are picking up pretty fast for Ashland and we can see why!

Do you all remember Ashland Wendlandt, we posted about her HERE.  She is currently in New York with our partner Fusion Model Management.  The above picture is from her instagram, and we are definitely digging her city style!  She did a test shoot with fashion photographer, Timothy Rosado, and the below picture is one of the final images from the shoot.  We are liking what we are seeing.  We are looking forward to seeing what else comes out of this trip for Ashland, because so far so good!
