Corey Scott in Hollywood

We may not represent a lot of male models, but when we do they are the absolute cream of the crop.  Take our model Corey Scott for example, these images are from his latest test shoot in Hollywood, and they are incredible.  Corey already looks like he should be in a major designer's fragrance ad, or walking the runways in Milan.  Seriously, if you scroll through the top male models on Models.com, you will think that Corey definitely has the look to be among the industry's greatest. We promise.  Now, we're off to work on making that happen.  

Look Out New York!

New York City, consider yourself warned, we have a new crop of models taking over the town! Pulse Management's Georgia Weeks, Kristina Jordan, Hazel Eakman, and Andrea Steele have arrived in NYC and have hit the ground running.  Each of these models were discovered in their hometowns, and are now learning the ropes with the guidance of our partner Fusion Model Management.  These four are navigating the city, going to castings, and getting a little sightseeing in on the side.

We have posted about this before, but we can't say enough how much we love when our models become friends with each other.  Yes, the modeling industry is a competitive one, which is even more of a reason that each of our models need each other as friends.  It is important to have someone who can relate to this crazy world, and understands the ups and downs that comes along with being a model.

Georgia, Kristina, Hazel, and Andrea we love seeing you all together, and we can't wait to see what you all have ahead in your respective careers.  Thank you for trusting us, and being a part of the Pulse Management Team!

Hye Rim Park for Grazia Korea

We have had a lot of successes with our models, but few make us as proud as that of Hye Rim Park.  When we scouted Hye there were really no working Asian supermodels.  That didn't deter us though, because we knew that Hye's beauty had all the potential in the world, we just had to get other people to see it too.  It took us awhile (years) to get some momentum going with Hye, but once we did, her career took off and she has booked jobs that most models only dream of (Vogue Covers, MAC Campaign, etc).

It has been a while since we launched Hye's career, and now there are so many successful Asian models we can't even keep track of them all.  It is a testament to Hye that she is still working, and booking jobs like this Grazia editorial.  This editorial is in the current (June 2015) issue of Grazia Korea, and Hye looks just as amazing as the day we signed her.  

Let's Get Lost with Ashland in Tokyo

Last week we posted THIS with behind the scenes pictures from one of Ashland Wendlandt's photo shoots in Tokyo.  Now we have the video that accompanies the pictures and it is in a word, beautiful.  From Ashland's various looks, to the Tokyo background, to the crooning of Chet Baker, this short film of Ashland is one of the better fashion videos we've seen in awhile.  Kozumi did a fantastic job with the direction.  We can't wait to see what else Ashland has been up to in Tokyo!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Gia Whited for Vogue Italia

It's not everyday that one of our models makes a debut for Vogue.  Then compound that excitement by about 100, and you will understand how we felt when we found out Gia booked this video for Vogue Italia alongside Anthony Kiedis, Ozzy and Sharon Osborne, Moby, Steve-O and more!  This video is to promote Animals Asia's campaign for the mistreatment of bears.  You can see more about the project here.  The promo video was also written up about here in Rolling Stone and here in the NY Daily News.  Yeah, its pretty major.  According to Gia, she was just joking around onset and did't even realize they were rolling, and then it ended up as one of the promos for the project. Way to go, Gia!

Behind the Scenes: Izzy Bowen

I have a confession to make.  With the Memorial Day holiday this week, I haven't been able to keep the days straight. So for all of you that checked out our blog yesterday and saw the post where I wished you all a happy Friday, I'm sorry.  Today I can actually wish you all a happy Friday! 

In this post we introduced you to one of our new faces, Izzy Bowen.  She recently shot with Dolls Model Management in New York City.  These behind the scene pictures are interesting because when you see the finished photos, you would not have pictured that this is what the set looked like.  That is the beauty of having a good photographer, like Timothy Rosado.  Timothy can create an incredible image anywhere, which is one of the many reasons we use him for our Dolls test shoots.  

We scouted Izzy in her native Colorado, and then she flew to NYC with her mom for her test shoot.  As soon as we got her photos out there, we have had some MAJOR designers clamoring to cast her.  We can't share names with you yet, but as soon as we can we will.  We have a feeling it won't be long though because our girl Izzy is going to be a major modeling force to be reckoned with!

Ali Stephens for Manifesto Magazine

We are loving these images from Ali Stephens' latest editorial for Manifesto Magazine.  The editorial is titled 10 Hours, but we love that it looks like it could be 10 hours from quite a few different decades.  Ali is one of our most successful Pulse Management discoveries, and it makes us happier than words can say that we are still have updates for you about her incredible career. 

MFW: Liz Kennedy for Les Copains

I was just looking through some pictures on style.com for some fashion inspiration and look who I stumbled upon,  our model, Liz Kennedy, in the Les Copains Fall 2015 Ready to Wear fashion show.  The show took place in Milan in February during Milan Fashion Week, the same week she walked the runway for Dolce and Gabbana.  Right now Liz is back in Minnesota enjoying some time with her family and friends.  I hope she's resting up because as soon as the fashion world gets done with their vacations Liz is going to be a very busy model again.

Behind the Scenes: Ashland in Tokyo

We posted last week about Ashland and Jen Wendlandt's arrival in Tokyo.  We are pleased to report that she booked her first shoot, and judging from these behind the scenes pics, it's going to be killer.  It is always fun to be able to look at pictures from the day of the shoot and then later compare them to the photos that they choose for the editorial. Don't worry as soon as the actual pictures from this shoot are published we will share them with you!  Keep up the good work Ashland, and enjoy Japan!

And She's Off!

Ashland Wendlandt, one of our newer models, just started her journey in Japan.  We sent her there on a contract that will both help her build her book, and gain a lot of experience in front of the camera.  Her mom, Jen, is along for the adventure.  We are looking forward to seeing a lot more pictures of Ashland's time in Tokyo, and we will keep you updated on her modeling out there.

Corey Scott and Ashley Graves in Hollywood

It is quite possible that the only thing better than getting back incredible photos of one of your models, is getting back incredible photos of TWO of your models.  This test shoot of Corey Scott and Ashley Graves on the California Coast is pretty much perfect.  They simultaneously look like candids of the most beautiful couple ever, but also like movie stills.  Great job guys, these turned out amazingly.

Tyson Bowerbank for Zumiez

Tyson Bowerbank is one of our Action Sports athletes and we are stoked to see his new ad for Zumiez.  Tyson was one of the top three finalists in last years Zumiez Best Foot Forward skate competition, and his video is definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it already.  You can see the video of Tyson, and the other top three finalists HERE.  Tyson is one of the most talented skateboarders we have ever seen and we are proud to have him as a part of our Pulse Management Action Sports team.

Hannah Holman for Flair Germany

How stunning is the setting for Hannah Holman's editorial for Flair Magazine?  Flair is a German fashion magazine, and we love this editorial shot by Kerry Dean. We love seeing Hannah, who we discovered in a small town in Utah, in this editorial for a German magazine, that looks like it was shot on another planet.  We launched Hannah's career years ago, and we love that she is still working and booking major jobs.  In fact she just shot an editorial for Marie Claire in Berlin a few days ago.  We'll be sure to share it with you when it's published.

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Liz Kennedy for ODDA Magazine

We can't get enough of Liz Kennedy in this editorial for ODDA Magazine.  The editorial is titled "This Woman's Work" and it showcases looks from the 2015 Womenswear Collections. In my opinion this editorial is successful because the photographer, Jacob Sadrak, kept the set simple so the clothing and Liz are the real standouts.  Sometimes the photos that look simple are the hardest to shoot successfully because you can't hide lack of talent behind gimmicks and props.  The pictures have to be staged and lit well, and the model has to be confident and comfortable enough to use just herself to showcase the clothing.  Liz has really come so far since we discovered her, and we are so proud to see the images she is turning out these days, because she is becoming an insanely talented model.
