Hazel Eakman for Cake Magazine

We interrupt our NYFW coverage to bring you Hazel Eakman's latest editorial.  These pictures are from Cake Magazine, and to say we think Hazel looks amazing is putting it mildly.  We found Hazel in Minnesota, and she is currently working with our partner in New York City, Fusion Model Management.  Since she has been in New York we have been blown away by the photographs we are seeing from her shoots.  We posted recently about this test shoot she did, and if you missed it make sure you click the link.  It's one of the better test shoots we've seen in a long time.

Pulse Management and Fashion News Live

Happy Fashion Week everyone! As of today Fashion Week has officially started (although if you've been reading our blog this week it has been off to a great start for us since Tuesday!).  We couldn't be more excited to announce our partnership with Fashion News Live this NYFW.  If you aren't familiar with Fashion News Live, check out the video above and you will see host Rocco Leo Gaglioti doing what he does best, interviewing fashion's elite.  He will be backstage at many of the shows during fashion week, and bringing you the news from places most people do not have access to so you don't want to miss it.



Keep an eye out for our Pulse Models in some of his videos, especially next week when FNL is hosting a screening of the movie Inside Amato by Furne One. A few of our Pulse Models and members of the Pulse Team will be in attendance and walking the red carpet.  Don't worry we will blog about it all when it happens.  A couple of our models

Ashland Wendlandt Picked as a Fresh Face for Fashion Week

Fashion Week doesn't technically start until tomorrow but it is already off to an insanely good start for us!  Stefanie Stein, one of the most respected casting directors in the fashion industry, just released her list of the "Next Rising Star Models" for this season, for The Impression.  Out of all of the aspiring models in New York for NYFW, Stein picked the top 33, and our model Ashland Wendlandt is included in the list!  If anyone can pick out the potential supermodels out of all of the new faces this season, it is Stefanie Stein, and the fact that she named Ashland in this small group is absolutely amazing.  This is such a huge feat for Ashland, and we can't wait to see what Fashion Week has in store for her.

Walking two runways for Dior has definitely put Ashland on an incredible path to success, and we love seeing the industry recognize the potential in Ashland that we saw when we scouted her.  She is working with our New York partner, Fusion Model Management, and we know that they are going to make an incredible team!  This is going to be a great NYFW, and we can't wait to keep you updated on all of the excitement.

NYFW: Sophia Skloss for Zac by Zac Posen

Zac Posen's diffusion line Zac by Zac Posen kicked off fashion week today, being touted as the first major designer's show of fashion week.  Our model Sophia Skloss walked down the runway with models like Coco Rocha, and we are so pleased!  Sophia got a taste of fashion week in February when she walked the Burberry runway in London, and now she's set to take the city of New York by storm.  We can't wait to bring you a lot more updates as Fashion Week kicks into high gear.  We have a couple of exciting announcements for you all, but we'll save that for another day. Today we're all about celebrating our girl Sophia's walk down the runway!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Olivia Hamilton for Interview Magazine

As you all know the September Issues of Magazines are on the shelves now, and they are the biggest and most anticipated issues of the year.  Our model, Olivia Hamilton, is in an editorial in the September Issue of Interview Magazine and she looks incredible.  The editorial was photographed by Stas Komarovski and styled by Stella Greenspan.  Komarovski works closely with Steven Meisel, and Greenspan works with Grace Coddington.  It is exciting to have one of our models work with the next generation of talented artists who are being taught by the best in the business.

Olivia, this editorial is in the biggest issue of one of the most respected magazines in the fashion/entertaiment industry and we are so proud of you.  This is MAJOR!

New Pics of Corey Scott

I'm sure a lot of you remember our previous posts about our model Corey Scott.  He is currently in Los Angeles, but we are readying things for him to head out to Miami soon.  We think the market in Miami will love our boy Corey as much as we do.  Look at these pictures we just got back from a test shoot he did in LA!  Corey and the photos look amazing, and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us.

Emma Harris Meets VS Angel Elsa Hosk

The best things happen to our model Emma Harris at her local mall.  Recently Victoria's Secret Angel Elsa Hosk was doing and event at the Victoria's Secret at the mall in Boise, ID, and Emma had the opportunity to snap a picture with her.  Judging from her test shoot photos we posted about HERE, it won't be long before people are asking to take a picture with Emma because this girl has supermodel written all over her.

Emma used to work at the Orange Julius in the food court at that mall, and one day while Stacey Eastman (Pulse Management President), was in town with his family walking through the mall he saw her working and talked to her about being a model for Pulse.  The coincidences don't end there!  Emma was actually scouted by Lacey, one of our Pulse scouts a few months earlier in Reno, NV.  So we think that it is destiny that Emma was meant to sign with us, and we are so excited to manage her career.

Yesterday Stacey Eastman, President of Pulse Management, took a quick trip to the North Shore of Oahu to check in our our crew of models and athletes out there.  Fashion Show season is about to kick off in New York in a little over a week, and Stacey will soon be out there with out models for the shows, so he wanted to check in with our group in the islands before he heads out to the opposite side of the country.

Stacey met up with Bree Hanneman (model/scout/photographer), Aaron Jessee (surfer), Honolua Blomfield (surfer), Shez Hanneman (model), and Kelsey Hussey (a model that we introduced you to yesterday).  With Stacey located in Kona now, it is a quick trip to see this group and we are hoping to get some more momentum going on these amazing people, because the world needs to know all of them. Stay tuned everyone!

Pulse Management Introduces Kelsey Hussey

It's not like Stacey Eastman (President of Pulse Management) needs another reason to love Hawaii, he recently relocated his family to the islands because he loves them so much.  Our Hawaiian scout Bree Hanneman, finds us the best models in Hawaii and her latest find, Kelsey Hussey is no exception.  Kelsey is from Oahu, and we have a feeling that she won't be staying put there for long because we can think of a few agencies who will be clamoring for this beauty.  We love the way Bree photographed Kelsey, and can't decide what our favorite feature of Kelsey's is, there is too much goodness going on to choose from.  Stacey is actually headed to Oahu today to meet with a handful of our models in Hawaii and we can't wait to see how it goes!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Olivia Hamilton for Uniqlo

Confession, I have watched this video of UNIQLO JEANS AUTOMNE/HIVER 2015 campaign a lot of times.  A LOT.  I just can't get over the beautiful movement, and how the models can be that flexible in a pair of jeans.  We have mentioned Olivia Hamilton's ballet training before, and it keeps coming in handy on her shoots (especially her Teen Vogue shoot with Ansel Elgort).  You can't have that kind of effortless-looking control of your body without years of training, and we are so glad that Olivia has been able to use her talent in ballet to enrich her modeling career.  A campaign for Uniqlo is huge (Click here to see her first campaign for them), and we are so proud of you Olivia!

Hazel Eakman by Matthew Priestley

As I'm looking through these photos from Hazel Eakman's shoot with photographer Matthew Priestley, I can't help but get excited by how much potential I can see for her future career.  Hazel is one of our new faces, and she is making great use of her time in NYC.  Each shoot we see of Hazel just reaffirms what we saw when we scouted her.  

Matthew Priestley has photographed a few of our models (Liz Kennedy and Madison Moehling) and each time we are thrilled with the results.  They are clean and beautiful photos, where the model herself is the main focus of the photo.  It would be hard to get a bad picture of Hazel, but these ones are really exceptional.

Liz Kennedy for Farfetch Magazine

These pictures of Liz Kennedy are so chic it kills me. They are from an editorial she did for the French Magazine, Farfetch.  Everything about these photos, from the all black wardrobe, to the Parisian bob she is sporting, to the set and special effects just ooze edgy sophistication.  This is a look we haven't seen yet on Liz, and as usual you look incredible!  This is another fantastic editorial to add to your book.

Hannah Matthiessen and Scott Eastwood

The entertainment industry and the internet has been abuzz this week because Taylor Swift released a teaser of her newest music video (for the song "Wildest Dreams"), and the video is co-starring Scott Eastwood.  When Taylor premiered her last video, for Bad Blood, it was one of the biggest events in the music industry this summer, so we know that when she debuts her latest video (at the VMAs no less), it will be MAJOR.

Before Scott Eastwood was co-starring with Taylor Swift, and breaking hearts in movies, he was in this editorial with Pulse Management model, Hannah Matthiessen.  This editorial ran in Town and Country Magazine in October of 2013.  As you can see Scott's good looks, paired with Hannah's all-American beauty made a perfect pairing.

This shoot was when both of these two were on the cusp of exciting careers. We are looking forward to seeing Scott in Taylor Swift's video, and seeing if they have more or less chemistry that Scott and Hannah!

Congrats Hono!

Our girl Honolua Blomfield placed 2nd in the Pro-Division at the Duke's Waikiki Kane/Wahine Longboard Pro/Am.  The contest was a part of the annual Duke's Ocean Fest in Waikiki.  Hono placing second in the Pro division is huge, and we are so proud!  It must have been extra exciting for Hono to do so well in this competition because it is on her home island.  Congrats Honolua, it is great to see your hard work paying off!

Behind the Scenes at the Thom Browne Shoot

We posted last week when the pictures from Olivia Hamilton's work for Thom Browne were released.  We couldn't wait until Monday to use it as a Major Moment Monday post, we had to share them the second we saw them.  Today we have some more of the photos from the shoot, as well as a behind the scenes pic to share with you.  We love anytime there is a behind the scenes picture or video because it  helps feel like we are at the shoot with our model.   Being the sole model in a campaign for a designer as significant as Thom Browne is a major accomplishment. We still can't get over how incredible Olivia looks in this shoot, and we are just beaming with pride.

Liz Kennedy in London

We are catching up on some of the pictures from when our model Liz Kennedy was in London this summer.  There is something special about the minimalism of the top photo.  A model as incredible as Liz doesn't need a lot of hair/makeup/wardrobe tricks and gimmicks to make a photo a good one.  Her  beauty stands alone, and we know that we are just scratching the surface with what this girl can do.  

The pictures below are from a test shoot at a croquet stadium with her good friend, and fellow Pulse model, Olivia Hamilton.  Both of these models had a great time in London over the summer together, and we are looking forward to spending time with them in New York for Fashion Week.
