Thanksgiving Hawaiian Style

Stacey Eastman and Jodie Gordon

Not only was this the Eastman family's first Thanksgiving since their move to Hawaii, they were lucky to have some amazing visitors join them. Jodie Gordon and Travis Kipp from Fusion Model Management. Having business partners that feel like family is definitely something to be thankful for, and this trip is going to have to be a Thanksgiving tradition!

Stacey and Our Oahu Crew

Aaron, Honolua, Bree, Stacey, Shez, and Kelsey

Yesterday Stacey Eastman, President of Pulse Management, took a quick trip to the North Shore of Oahu to check in our our crew of models and athletes out there.  Fashion Show season is about to kick off in New York in a little over a week, and Stacey will soon be out there with out models for the shows, so he wanted to check in with our group in the islands before he heads out to the opposite side of the country.

Stacey met up with Bree Hanneman (model/scout/photographer), Aaron Jessee (surfer), Honolua Blomfield (surfer), Shez Hanneman (model), and Kelsey Hussey (a model that we introduced you to yesterday).  With Stacey located in Kona now, it is a quick trip to see this group and we are hoping to get some more momentum going on these amazing people, because the world needs to know all of them. Stay tuned everyone!

"Opening up of the Hawaiian Islands is going to bring many fruits to all. Hoping a short 30 min flight from Kona to North Shore and see what our amazing scout Bree has been doing is well worth the sunset flight home to my wife and kids. We are blessed. Mahalo Island kids." -Stacey Eastman

Pulse Management Introduces Kelsey Hussey

It's not like Stacey Eastman (President of Pulse Management) needs another reason to love Hawaii, he recently relocated his family to the islands because he loves them so much.  Our Hawaiian scout Bree Hanneman, finds us the best models in Hawaii and her latest find, Kelsey Hussey is no exception.  Kelsey is from Oahu, and we have a feeling that she won't be staying put there for long because we can think of a few agencies who will be clamoring for this beauty.  We love the way Bree photographed Kelsey, and can't decide what our favorite feature of Kelsey's is, there is too much goodness going on to choose from.  Stacey is actually headed to Oahu today to meet with a handful of our models in Hawaii and we can't wait to see how it goes!

Welcome to Pulse Management Kelsey, we are so happy to have you as a part of our crew.

Congrats Hono!

Our girl Honolua Blomfield placed 2nd in the Pro-Division at the Duke's Waikiki Kane/Wahine Longboard Pro/Am.  The contest was a part of the annual Duke's Ocean Fest in Waikiki.  Hono placing second in the Pro division is huge, and we are so proud!  It must have been extra exciting for Hono to do so well in this competition because it is on her home island.  Congrats Honolua, it is great to see your hard work paying off!

Big Day for the Eastman Family!

If you have met Stacey and Shayna Eastman (President and COO of Pulse Management), you probably have heard about how much they love Hawaii.  Ever since I have met them I have heard about how they are planning on moving out to the islands, and TODAY is the big day.  Along with their beautiful children they are making the move today.  We want to wish them good luck on their move, and we can't wait to see more pictures of their new Hawaiian life.

How does this affect your model management, or your potential to model for Pulse Management?  The good news is it won't! The great thing about technology these days is we can manage you from anywhere.  We are looking forward to huge things for our models in September, and we already have models working all over the globe right now.  Even a huge move halfway across the Pacific can't slow us down!

Pulse Management Introduces: Shez Hannemann

We don't represent a lot of male models, but when we do we have to say we get the best guys to represent. The latest male model to add to our Pulse Management roster is Shez Hannemann.  Shez lives in Hawaii (and you all know our affinity for Hawaii...), and is ready to break into the modeling world. We are excited to develop and manage his career, and we think that he has amazing potential!

Shez surfs, snorkels, and get ready for this-- cooks food like you wouldn't believe.  He is one of seven brothers, who own a couple of restaurants and food trucks on Oahu.  If you're ever on the North Shore you HAVE to go to Seven Brothers for a burger or salad, and then hit up the Kahuku Grill for your next meal.  Seriously, you won't regret it.  Hopefully the restaurants have a back up plan for when Shez isn't around though, because we have a feeling this guy's modeling is going to take him all over the world!

Pulse Mgmt Loves Bree!

Bree and her son Sylver

You all may remember when we introduced your to Bree Hannemann, one of our models and a member of the Pulse Mgmt team? Bree entered our online model search last year and has been an important part of Pulse ever since.  She lives in Hawaii and she is a scout, model, and photographer for us out there. No matter what she is doing, it always turns out incredibly, and she never ceases to amaze us with her talents. (Not to mention she is the mama to the cutest little guy on the North Shore!)

I asked Bree to answer a few questions about herself, to share with all of you where she got started and what she is up to now.
WHERE IT BEGAN: started modeling when i was 16 years old. I was a model for a runway show for upcoming fashion designers. My fashion stylist ended up winning the show with the clothing that i was wearing. (i thought i was so cool and famous.)
then i joined an egency in la until the end of highschool. went to byu for my first year of college and ACUALLY went to a pulse open call and got a call back, but wasn't able to get a portfolio with them at the time. i then transferred to hawaii shortly after.

HAWAII: moved to hawaii not knowing anyone, or what i was even doing. started going to school at byuh. met SEEK (now my husband) about a month into being out there at his families restaurant. Seek and his brothers moved to hawaii when they were young teenagers (there are 7 of them) and once they were done with high school the boys and their dad wanted to figure out a way to stay in hawaii and make a living. they decided to open up "kahuku grill". three years later they opened up "seven brothers" and then once year later they opened up a "seven brothers truck" right across the street from the famous SUNSET BEACH on the north shore. my husband runs Seven brothers and his two other brothers run Kahuku Grill and the Truck. the boys love every minute of it and cant wait to open up more and maybe even bring it to the mainland! a year into seek and i being married we had our son Sylver Monatua le atua Hannemann (samoan). it means sylver remembers the lord. (seeks is Seek Fa Ale Atua Hannemann which means "seek the things of god".

HOW I GOT BACK IN CONTACT W/ PULSE: A friend of mine told me to enter the the first online model search. i did. i lost, but it was a blessing in disguise because through that i was able to start working on the business side of pulse and start scouting and doing photography for their upcoming models out here on the island of hawaii.

I have always been into photography but took a serious interest in it once i got married to seek. he loves making short clip videos or out trips, adventures, and the restaurants. so he bought a nice camera and with that i was really able to start getting   some quality pictures. my dream is to be the lead photographer of a children's line like GAP, or CHANEL, ect. Although I have enjoyed taking pictures for pulse of the older models as well. there is a different beauty and light to it, but it is all the best thing in the world to me. nothing better than creating something beautiful and letting the world see it. I have developed a deep passion for photography and plan on doing it until i reach my dream of working for big name companies. stacey eastman has been a great mentor to me, and has really put himself out there to help me when he really has no reason to. he has so much going on with Pulse and his family that it means a lot that he is willing to get my started and help me reach my dreams. i look forward to an amazing future with Pulse.

Pulse Management President, Stacey Eastman, loves Hawaii and is working towards expanding the company into the islands.  He sees Bree as an integral part of the Hawaiian operations. He said the following about Bree, "WE WILL HAVE BREE BE A SCOUT AND PHOTOGRAPHER AND SOON AS WE GROW OPERATIONS WITHIN THE HAWAIIAN MARKET, SHE WILL

BECOME A PARTNER TO FACILITATE WORKING IN THE ASIAN MARKET AND WORKING WITHIN THE ACTION SPORTS BRAND AND DEVELOPMENT BOARD."

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Guess Who?!

I can't believe that it is Thursday again already.  I look forward to this day every week, because I absolutely love seeing and posting these adorable pictures of our models when they were little.  This week's TBT is the beautiful Bree Goings, who is not only one of our models, she is also a scout for us and she is an integral part of our growing presence in the Hawaiian Islands.  (We will have a whole post about that soon!) We love Bree, and we can't get over how cute she was as a little girl, but it doesn't surprise us because she sure is a beauty now!
