Big Moment for Natalie Keyser!

We love this pic that our girl, Natalie Keyser, posted on her instagram.  All you models out there know that it is a big deal when one of your pictures ends up in a frame at your agency's office.  It means that out of all the work, from every model they represent, the photo of yours is one that they deem noteworthy, and they want others to be sure to see it too!  This picture is from Natalie's agency that we have her with in Mexico, Paragon Model Management.  Congrats on achieving your goal Nat, we are just as thrilled as you are.

Also, we loved this article about the realities of being a model.  Modeling can be very exciting and glamorous, but this article entails some of the less glamorous things about modeling, and we think it is a must-read for all models, their friends and family, and any aspiring models.  For the people who want to get into modeling, it is good to know what you are getting into and to have realistic expectations.

Carson Spotted on Marc Jacobs' Instagram

As far as designers go, there are few as big as Marc Jacobs.  We were ecstatic when we saw our girl Carson Bruner on his international instagram.  Carson is showing a look from his Pre-Fall 2014 Collection and both she and the clothes look amazing! Congrats Carson, we know this isn't your first time working for Marc Jacobs, and we are sure this won't be your last time!

How Do You Say "Lucky" in French?

One of the major perks of working in the modeling industry is being able to introduce our models to places, people and cultures that they may not otherwise be exposed to.  Two of our favorite models, Carson Bruner and Armon Eastman jetted off to Paris this week and we are loving seeing their pictures.  Pulse Mgmt President (and Armon's Dad), Stacey Eastman, accompanied these two on their trip.  Carson and Armon will be busy working while in France, but it is fun to see these pictures of them, just being teenagers in one of the world's most amazing cities.  Keep posting pictures you guys, we love seeing them!

 

Happy (Belated) Birthday Shayna!

With all of the madness over the holiday weekend, we didn't post about one of the most important days of the year.  Happy birthday to the one and only Shayna Eastman!  She is one of the most beautiful people we know.  Pulse Management would not be where it is today with out this woman, and we are all so grateful for her. Shayna is the COO of Pulse, wife to Stacey, mother of six kids, and she is a friend to all of our models.  As a former model and actress, she can provide the unique perspective of someone who has worked in the industry to our models, and that advice and guidance has proven to be valuable more than we can say! She heads up our Dolls Model Management and Development and it couldn't be in better hands.  She is truly one of a kind, and we are so lucky that she (and Stacey) head up this Pulse Mgmt team.  Happy birthday Shayna, you just keep getting better!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Ali Stephens for Calvin Klein Jeans

Seeing as it is Memorial Day, reflecting on a Major Moment only seems fitting.  For today's Major Moment Monday we are going back to F/W 2008 when Pulse Management discovery, Ali Stephens, booked this Calvin Klein Jeans ad campaign.  This happened just as we were launching Ali, and it really let the fashion industry know that she was going to be a major model.  The ad was photographed by the incomparable Steven Meisel, and Ali modeled alongside other models like Toni Garrn and Abbey Lee Kershaw, all three of whom have gone on to have continued success in this fickle industry.  This moment was a huge one in Ali's career, and a huge one for Pulse Mgmt as well.  

Bon Voyage!

The internet is abuzz with the news of the Kardashians taking over Paris, but we are far more interested in a different kind of Parisian take over. We are talking a fashion take over from these two, Armon Eastman and Carson Bruner.  Both take off soon for Paris and we are anxiously awaiting to see what work they book and even more anxious to see the stunning images from their French shoots.  I mean, look at these two!  I don't know if either one of them has ever taken a bad photo.  Don't worry everyone, we will keep you posted so you can keep up with Armon and Carson.

Natalie Keyser for NYLON Magazine

I feel like the word fierce is overused, especially in the modeling industry, but when I look at these pics of Natalie Keyser, fierce is the first word that comes to mind.  These intense pictures are outtakes from her latest editorial in NYLON Magazine.  The juxtaposition of the feminine lace dresses with her intense expressions makes for some photos that will not soon be forgotten.  It is editorials like this that keep NYLON at the top of our fashion magazine favorite list.

Dacoda for Wildfox

How pretty are these images from Wildfox's Summer 2014 Lookbook?  We think that our model Dacoda looks absolutely ethereal, and plays the part of the "little sister" in this shoot perfectly.  This is a perfect summer lookbook because it captures the essence of summer, and we think that our Dacoda couldn't have been cast any better!  

We have Dacoda placed with Photogenics when she is in LA, and they are doing a wonderful job with her. (Click here for the Photogenics post announcing our partnership with them) That is what model management (what we do) is all about.  We manage her career globally by placing her with the best agencies for her career in each market. Liz Kennedy for Ruby Rivet

We are pouring over these images of Liz Kennedy for Ruby Rivet.  She is one of the models in their Spring/Summer 2014 Catalogue, and we love everything about them.  The concept is perfect for these clothes, and Liz looks amazing in everything, as usual.  Liz was definitely kept busy on her last trip to Asia, and wait until you see how busy she is on her next trip to NYC.  Mark our words, this girl is going to be one of the models everyone is talking about during September Fashion week.  Not too bad for a girl we found in Minnesota!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hannah's Editorial for British Vogue

For today's MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY, we are going back to May of 2011, when Pulse Management discovery Hannah Holman, starred in this editorial for British Vogue.  We love it when our models book any job, but when they book one for any of the Vogue magazines, it is the cream of the crop and cause to celebrate! In this editorial, the uber-talented photographer Tim Gutt, reimagined the traditional anniversary gifts.  When we see Hannah in a major editorial like this, sometimes we can't believe this is a girl we found in a small town in Utah, and here she is in an international fashion magazine.  We love being able to change the lives of our models and introduce them to people and cultures they probably would not have had to change to meet if it weren't for this industry.

Pulse Mgmt Introduces Bree!

We love Hawaii for so many reasons, but one of them is that it is where our new model Bree lives! Pulse Mgmt is thrilled to represent this beach babe, and we can't wait to see where this journey takes both of us.  Look at these pics, isn't she just the epitome of what a girl at the beach should be? Bree entered our model search earlier this year, and we are thrilled that she did.  Welcome to Pulse Bree, we think you are going to like it with us!

Pulse Management model Ashley Graves, looks beyond amazing in this SS 2014 editorial for Life Has No Limitations.  Life Has No Limitations is an amazing blog, that has some of the coolest posts and pictures we have seen in a while.  Not to mention they have featured our girl Ashley and "Ooh La La" is the perfect way to describe these pictures.  Click here for more pics, and for more info behind this shoot.

Rachel Cook for LORAC Summer 2014

Today definitely feels like Summer, and this video and pictures are definitely getting us ready for Summer! Pulse Management's Rachel Cook, looks absolutely amazing in the images.  It is easy to see why Lorac Cosmetics used her in their Summer 2014 campaign.  For our potential and current models, when you watch the video watch how naturally Rachel moves in front of the camera. She knows how to give the photographers the looks and angles they want.  It is evident that Rachel has been at more than a few photoshoots, and she just gets better everytime! We are proud of you Rachel, this campaign is amazing.

Have You Met Stacey and Shayna Eastman?

I'm sure many of our readers and followers know about the Eastmans, but just in case you don't we have a new video to introduce them to you, and to our potential models (and their parents).  Stacey and Shayna are the husband and wife team that are behind Pulse Management, and they are the reason our models feel like they are part of a family when they join our management company.  When you watch the video it is clear that these two have a genuine affinity for their models, and for the industry in which they work.  Which is probably why the company has been successful!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Ali Stephens for Elle Vietnam

Today's MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY, happened recently.  In March 2014 Pulse Management discovery, Ali Stephens, was the only model in this denim editorial for Elle Vietnam.  Elle Magazine is one of the most successful fashion magazine's in the world, and their Vietnam edition is quickly getting a reputation for showcasing cutting edge fashion and talent. The pictures are just incredible, and they show that Ali is looking and modeling as amazingly as ever.  We scouted Ali at the mall in her hometown of Salt Lake City, and her career has taken off ever since.  We are proud to be the company that introduced Ali to the modeling world, and we are proud of the contributions that she continues to make to the industry. Natalie on the Cover of Haunted Magazine

Another day, another magazine cover for Pulse Management's Natalie Keyser.  We are thinking that having Natalie take a modeling trip to Mexico City was one of the best things we've done in a while.  She has had plenty of success down there, and she loves it so much she is considering extending her trip indefinitely. This cover for Mexico-based Haunted magazine is sublime! Natalie, you are one of the most amazing people we know, and the fact that you are looking this amazing in your photos is just the icing on the cake.  You are really coming into your own, and it is a pleasure to witness.  We love you girl!

Don't Act Like You're Not Impressed...

Last week we got a few of our action sports athletes together with some of our Pulse Mgmt team, for a photo/video shoot. While we don't have the final products ready for you yet, I thought you might like to see this sneak peek of our boy Nate, longboarding... ON HIS HANDS.  Also in the video you can see Cole Evans filming next to him. We can't wait to see how Cole puts together all of the footage.  We also had the uber-talented photographer, Ramsey Mead, along to capture some still shots of the shoot.  Seriously you guys, it doesn't take much to make Nate look cool, but with this team we are going to have some amazing stuff to show you.  Stay tuned...

Happy Birthday Lacey!

Happy Happy Birthday to the one and only Lacey Hevern.  Lacey is a former Pulse Model and the current Pulse Director of Scouting.  Many of our current and most successful models we found by Lacey, and she has showed no sign of slowing down.  Most recently at Coachella she found us some amazing models, and we can't wait to launch their careers.  There are few people more fun to be around than this birthday girl, and she is one of the most beautiful people we know.  Happy birthday Lacey, you deserve a wonderful year.

Armon in No. 3 Magazine Editiorial

Man oh man, Armon Eastman is one good looking guy.  Sometimes we forget that he is still just starting in the modeling industry, because when you look at pictures like this, he looks like a seasoned veteran. These pictures are from an editorial he recently did for New York-based No. 3 Magazine.  We can't wait to share with you guys where he is headed next.  Here's a hint, it is one of (if not THE) top fashion cities in the world.
